A lot of articles didn't like the iPhone keyboard at first, either. Sometimes it took a long time to get used to it.

Of course. But in this case, the OP is asking what others think. I generally find CNET reviews helpful and accurate.
 
I've played around with a lot of smart phones, no phone has as nice a browser as the iPhone (that I've used). Granted I have no used the storm, but I have heard that since it requires a click, you can't type as quickly because you have to completely lift up one finger to press another key. Sounds like it would be frustrating, but certainly something they could fix with an FW upgrade. Go to a store and play around with it.

I would say Edge is "fast enough" but if you are stuck paying 3G prices... It sucks. I bought the 3G because I'm moving when I graduate to DC where I'll have 3G service, but on my campus I have not, so I have it disabled all the time while I pay $10 a month for it. Something to consider.
