Been using the same alarm clock since the early 90's - still works great. iPhone stays downstairs on the charger at night.
I've been using my iPhone for years, but I recently backed the Sense sleep/environment tracker which will work in tandem with iOS to wake you up when you're in a light sleep phase (much like some standalone apps and fitness bands do) and provide data about your environment to help you sleep better. At least that's the theory. Heaven knows I need to sleep better.![]()
I don't need an alarm clock, period. I can mentally prepare myself to wakeup at a certain time before I go to sleep, and I'll actually wake up on my own. I'm generally not more than five minutes off from the exact time. I do have an alarm set as a backup, but I've only ever overslept twice in the past year or so; that was when I was sicker than a dog.
