iPhone and my BB before that since 2010. Before that was a series of iHomes and alarm clocks which didn't have enough alarms (I set my iPhone with three alarms lol). I still keep a Sony dock clock to see what time it is. It has a 30-pin dock that my iPod lives on.

My parents still have one of those clock radio things lol.

iPhone now, but that switch just happened last week when my old alarm clock keeled over.

I use the silent alarm on my Fitbit to wake me. My iPhone is my backup alarm. I also have a projection clock so that I can look up at the ceiling and tell what time it is during the night.

"Kids... when I was your age, we had to use a big plastic appliance the size of a shoe to wake us up in the morning! It took up half the space of your nightstand!"

"What else could it do, grandpa?"

"If you looked at it, you could tell what time it was!"

" ... "

I've been using my iPhone for years, but I recently backed the Sense sleep/environment tracker which will work in tandem with iOS to wake you up when you're in a light sleep phase (much like some standalone apps and fitness bands do) and provide data about your environment to help you sleep better. At least that's the theory. Heaven knows I need to sleep better. :p

I still use my clock/radio/CD player often because it wakes me up with some nice tunes of my choice. It starts off softly then slowly increases volume. I like that. I don't like being startled awake.
When I really want to make sure I'm getting up I'll set both my phone and my alarm clock just incase I hit snooze and fall back asleep.

iPhone all the way, i m using my iPhone 5s although i have a physical alarm clock but i have just obsessed with my iPhone 5s.:D

I use 5 different alarms in the morning. I have a DAB iPod alarm dock, this has 2 alarms set, one with music from iPod and one from DAB radio. Then I have my iPhone 5s alarm, my cordless telephone alarm and my Husband (who uses HIS iPhone alarm).

I can't rely on just one alarm as I sleep like the dead.

We just went on vacation and stayed at Treasure Island in Las Vegas.
We liked the bed so much that we came home and bought one. I've had astounding, wonderfully rested sleep results since it arrived a few days ago.
I didn't think we needed to spend money on a bed, but boy, I was wrong. This is what we shopped for and found locally.

I don't need an alarm clock, period. I can mentally prepare myself to wakeup at a certain time before I go to sleep, and I'll actually wake up on my own. I'm generally not more than five minutes off from the exact time. I do have an alarm set as a backup, but I've only ever overslept twice in the past year or so; that was when I was sicker than a dog.

See, I'm the same way too. But I understand that some people just don't plop into the pillow and fall asleep right then and there. It took me more than 10 years to finally be able to do it, and it was mostly because I finally got rid of the stress that is going to school everyday and dealing with the drama that it is.

The only times I set an alarm up are when I'm not at home, or when my parents ask me to wake them up at a certain time.

I'm with the I don't use an alarm clock crowd.

Doesn't it go without saying not to sleep with your cell phone near your bed?

I use my iPhone as my main alarm butt still set my radio alarm clock 5 minutes later than the iPhones wake time as a back up on the days that I have to work.
