Thanks!!

Okay, you are teasing me, right? That's not a Holden Commodore. I live in the USA. I do love my G8! It's too bad what is happened with that whole thing!

A Commodore would be cool though. At least I'd have the on-screen navigation where everybody here assumes it is located in the dash. However, I don't think I'd get used to the steering wheel on the right side though!!!! :)

Sorry, I really thought it was a Commodore. From that angle it looked like a Commodore grill. Anyway, let me say the G8 is the nicest Pontiac I've ever seen, and I'm really impressed with what I've read about its performance. I otherwise tend to be biased against Pontiacs - they've had way too many yawn-worthy vehicles over the last couple decades. Leave it to the Aussies to fix that. My only complaint about the G8 is the grill. I think the Commodore grill looks much nicer. And of course it's unique here in the states. You can get a Commodore grill special order. Not sure if it would be worth it though.

And yes, steering wheel on the other side would definitely be hard to get used to. I drove in Australia once. It was nuts!

Bummer about the nav, but I say get Navigon for your iPhone and a really nice dash mount, and you'll be set up nicely. Or, wait for the Apple iTablet and mount that sucker to your dash - that'd be sweet!

This was taken this morning after I dropped my daughter off at school.

I don't know how to make it bigger.

I disagree completely. I think there's far too much paranoia about these sort of things. He didn't post his address or anything. Sure, a real enterprising person with time and hacking skills might be able to correlate it to personal info, but anyone who wants to prey on kids can find easier targets.

I posted videos of my baby daughter on Youtube to share with family. Password protecting them means massive headaches coaching elderly family through the process of logging on. It's just easier not to. I gave it careful thought and decided the risk was less than just walking through the mall with her.

Just my opinion, of course.

Totally agree, I can not believe anyone would malign you for posting pictures of your children. If we have become that paranoid we might as well throw in the towel and sever all connections.

No kidding. I'm glad our society is more cautious about things than we were in the 70's and 80's, but for many it has gone WAY overboard. A big part of the blame goes to all the sensationalized news and the extreme availability of information in general. It gives us the impression that murders and kidnappings are happening all the time. But in reality, on a percentage basis, it's really low. Doesn't mean you shouldn't be careful, but there are risks in everything, including just taking your kids out to the mall, and you can't spend every minute stressing over it. That stress just trickles down to your kids and then they become paranoid. So I try really hard to put risks in perspective and then focus my caution where it is really needed most.
