The BEST sandwich and bakery in Manhattan Beach, CA. We decided to bike there from Santa Monica today.

I would have taken a photo of my sandwich, but I was so focused on eating it, that I didn't think of taking a picture until I was finished.

Their giant oatmeal cookies with frosting on top are amazing.

The markings are very much like those of the Sphinx Moth caterpillar, on its back are Braconid Wasp eggs whose larvae will consume the caterpillar when they hatch.

Actually, the eggs have already hatched and the larvae have pupated and will soon emerge as adults. The white pupae are what you see on the skin of the hornworm. The hornworm is living on borrowed time.....

So those pupaes will kill the hornworm? What happens if he takes it off?

No, the damage has already been done. The larvae already ate part of the hornworm's insides. The hornworm will likely die before it is ready to pupate or will pupate and die soon after pupating.

Wasps will emerge form the pupae and fly away leaving that hornworm to die.
