A picture of my old iPhone taken with my new iPhone, and one of my favorite beverages. These are in a kinda low light setting.

Can anyone please explain how to get photos from the phone into this thread?

I went to Manage Attachments, Clicked onto my connected phone, clicked on the photo (image_0002) and hit upload and I get the "Invalid File" error.
The photo was taken with the phone, so how can it be an invalid file? Is this a format issue of the way the phone saves the image, vs. what the forum accepts?

Can anyone help? I really dont want to have to upload it first because I currently dont have any Flickr or Photo sharing website accounts and dont really want or need one. Thanks

I just emailed myself the pic, threw it on my desktop, and then did the same via add attachments. I singed up for MacForums 10 mins ago...it already works perfect.

What I do is import my photo's into iPhoto first. Then I click on the little paperclip looking thing (technical term ;)) select my pics and upload them.

Why dumpsters?
The one on the right is for cardboard only while the one on the left is for all other trash. A co-worker dumped a rather large cardboard box into the wrong dumpster because he didn't want to take the time to empty it out. I e-mailed this picture to my job and created a document explaining the company's recycling policy using it. Then a group of us kept leaving copies of the document where he could see it during the day (his desk, stack of boxes he was taking out, his lunch box, his car, etc...).

sorry im asking again but no one answered me before.

i have a flickr account, but i was wondering how to upload photos from my iphone using that program (or another one) to this forum?

How so sharp

I guess my question is how is everyone getting such sharp images? Mine seem to be rather fuzzy/blurry. Think my lense is dirty or are the images in the thread just resized so that they look that way?

Most of these photos aren't being resized.

Could be a dirty/scratched lens, or maybe you have a shaky hand? Are the people/things you are taking photos of moving? Are you taking photos in low light conditions?

Here's another one. It wasn't resized either. Look at the turtle- he's just hanging out getting a tan. Taken at the turtle/duck/fish pond at Franklin Canyon Reservoir in Los Angeles.

I just got back from a car rally on the weekend and I quite liked these two...

This iPhone camera is 1000x better than the 2MP I had on my old Nokia..

(bear in mind these were taken in very low light with the cars moving mighty quick!)

love that gc8 impreza

Well I know most of my photos are after I've partaken of a few adult style beverages. haha
But some of them aren't. The phone is new and the lens looks fine from a close up eye inspection. Maybe I just need to clean it and be more steady, plus have some better lighting.

Any tips?

I think you've got the right idea.

Do a test though- clean the lens and take a photo (while sober ;)) of a object that isn't moving, while steadying the iPhone on a table/counter or something that also isn't moving/vibrating. If the photo comes out clear, then it's you. If it isn't clear, then there is probably something wrong with your iPhone and I would take it to an Apple Store and get it replaced. That is, unless you've caused damage to it somehow- they probably won't replace it if you've caused the damage yourself.

Photo of my Grandpa from lunch - he's 84

One more tip is to remember the photo is taken when you RELEASE the camera-"button". Not when you press it. So it might be a lot easier for you to hit and hold the button, steady your hand and then release it to take the photo. It helped me quite a bit :)
