Don't get me wrong, MPG is great. I totally support people trying to save money, etc. but let's not forget our Physics 101 lessons.

With most things in life, you have to sacrifice something. In this case, increase in MPG is gained by a small engine and size/weight. Put this up against a T-bone or headend collision with the mirad of SUVs, Dump Trucks, and 18-Wheelers and I would have to bet you'd be toast.

I'll stay in my F-350 long-bed, pay $4.65 per gallon diesel and get 12 MPG to consider myself a bit safer in THE most dangerous activity that we all do on a daily basis, and that is drive.

(especially with all of us texting and iPhoning while we drive...)

(yawn) if you've got to tell yourself all that to justify driving around in a gas hog, that's one thing, but to go telling that to total strangers is a good way to make yourself look like a total fool.

But hey, be as excessive as ya want. That's what America's about, right? Keep us dependent on the fricking middle east. Guys like me will continue to put our lives and untold numbers of faceless (to you) foreigners on the line for your ability to do so. Thanks for contributing to the solution & not the problem...

People like you, driving around in cars too big for traffic, texting and playing on electronic toys instead of PAYING ATTENTION to the people you're running off the road, are why I now carry my Glock while I'm riding the bicycle I use for transportation. And no, there is no Concealed Carry here either.
