I have seen these windmills from a distance before on I-20 heading out towards El Paso and on US84 going to Lubbock. This weekend I had the opportunity to see them up close in Sweetwater and the shear size of these things are amazing! Each time a blade comes around you can literally hear it slice it's way through the air. There were at least several hundred windmills in this particular farm!

YEEEAH, love those things and clean energy in general!!!:apple:

snowed in and on lake shore drive with no one else around.

I never knew Lake Shore Drive could be empty, what time was it? I'm coming to Chicago next week with my girl for Valentine's any suggestions of what to do around town. We are staying on Michigan Ave, by Nordstroms.

Well, see, the thing is..... the Leafs sell out every game. Every game. Even when the Panthers come to town.

So, you see, I should be talking.

Awesome.

because TO has Dumb fans, that will support even the worst teams and EVEN WORSE Management. MLSE have been sitting on thier asses for the longest time because they sell out almost all games....I would hope that the leafs rebuild properly, and the fans support a Functional team......oh and you dont have the right to talk..leafs had the highest payroll before salary cap came..we had some real good players, and yet 41YEARS:eek::p:) . You have the right to talk if your team is winning b/c they dont hang banners for selling out games, rather for winning CUPS

P.S. I Live in TO and watch the leafs aswell, but im not a ignorant fan.....i really hope to see a young leafs team that can bring the cup back....its been wayy too long:mad:

Just got the MacBook Air in the mail today. Amazing!
The screen isn't quite as good as the MBP's. :p

I'm not an ignorant fan, I understand the intricacies of MLSE better than most people. You think I've been happy with the way they've been managing the team? Come on now. And if you think that MLSE has no interest in winning a championship, then you don't know what you're talking about. They would make millions of $$$ more if they make the playoffs and millions more if they win the Cup (think of the merchandising, tv revenues, ticket sales, etc). You think they want to lose? That's just stupid. Also, the theory that the Teachers Pension Plan holding the team back is an idiotic theory that makes no business sense. MLSE just hasn't managed the Maple Leafs well at all, but now that all should change with Burke.

Toronto doesn't have dumb fans. The fans in Toronto are impatient, hyper-critical, extremely excitable, and overly optimistic. Many are bandwagon fans. But the thing is, the fans are incredibly loyal. It's the hottest ticket in town.

A true fan supports the team for better or for worse.

And don't tell me I don't have the right to talk.

My original point was regarding the pathetic, lackluster crowd at the Panthers game and comparing that to the sellout crowds at Leafs games. My point was that the Leafs are horrible and still sell out. Even when the Panthers were good, they probably had trouble selling tickets. I don't think a city deserves a franchise if they can't fill at least 1/2 or 2/3 of the seats each game.

If you want to continue this chat, feel free to post in the NHL thread. No need to hijack this thread.

I can agree to that.

I won't miss it. I would fly home to Toronto if the Leafs were on the verge of winning. And I would be at the game. But I doubt that will happen anytime too soon.

Yikes, the Raptors are horrible this season. Colangelo isn't looking too good anymore.

Hijack over. My next post in this thread will be a photo. :)
