Well, if you own the type of car, it's easy to recognize.

When I used to own a car, I would always notice my model on the road more than others. I would speculate one would be able to identify the dash, etc of a car that has teh same dash as their own.

I owned a 2003 VW Jetta and could pick out those gauges anywhere. Very iconic, and I LOVED the indigo colored look.

Plus I know more about cars than is healthy for any one human being... Built 3 engines in my bedroom by the time I hit 17
