Apple knew people would pay that for this, so they priced it accordingly. I do question why someone would pay that much money for this, but that's their decision. I'll keep my money for something *I* want to pay too much money for.

..but here I am with thousands of dollars of Apple stuff, when I could do everything I do with devices costing half that... so, I don't know if I'm any better.. 😛
Not globally! Check your facts. Were still available in SK, France, etc 2-3 days after launch day.
This is nothing more than marketing hype! Limited edition just means they only made so many and everyone who bought them thinks they are the Jordan's of Apple.
