Probably the youtube influencers brought all of them so they can promote them in their channels and win likes. Apple, knowing this probably made the stock so limited to justify the high price.

Of course, ISSEY MIYAKE is a nice fashion brand and I like their colognes a lot but I have no plans in spending that kind of money on socks either.

I'm starting to suspect that not all users here are real young ultra-rich eccentric fashionistas.
Yeah well, these are 149? I don’t think being ultra-rich is required, do you?

The people that are buying this want to make this as an investment for fools to pay even much more later on. Say five or 10 years from now.
Or they are just into this kind of fashion.

Just when I was having a little faith in humanity this happens...
I lose a lot more faith in humanity by reading the comments in this thread :p

There are people out there who understand that Apple fans will buy anything for their devices.
Or just people into this kind of fashion.

$149 ($229 for the long one!) is not a lot in absolute terms, but I hope only the very rich spend that sort of money on things that are supposed to cost $5/10 such as a good cheeseburger, a can of deodorant or a tiny plastic bag that only holds your phone.

So we’ve come from the iPhone 4. Steve Jobs said larger phones would be unwieldy…
..to gigantic phones which won’t fit in many pockets…
…. so people wear big nylon socks to carry them. 😜

Those who missed the last one and are desperate for the iPhone pocket, get it from Temu for under 5 bucks.

Apple recently teamed up with Japanese fashion brand ISSEY MIYAKE to create the iPhone Pocket, a limited-edition knitted accessory designed to carry an iPhone. However, it is now completely sold out in all countries where it was released.

iPhone Pocket became available to order on Apple's online store starting Friday, November 14, in the United States, France, China, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. It quickly sold out in the United States, but some colors and size options were still available in South Korea and a few other countries until the past few days.

The accessory was offered in short and long sizes, in a variety of colors:
  • Short: Lemon, Mandarin, Purple, Pink, Peacock, Sapphire, Cinnamon, and Black
  • Long: Sapphire, Cinnamon, and Black
In the U.S., pricing ranged from $149.95 to $229.95.

iPhone Pocket is designed to be versatile. It can fully enclose an iPhone, but you can stretch it to peek at your screen and/or fit additional items. The accessory can be held in your hand, tied onto a bag, or worn directly on you.

Here is how Apple describes the iPhone Pocket:Given it is a limited-edition accessory, it is unclear if there will ever be additional inventory of the iPhone Pocket now that it is fully sold out worldwide.

This is such a weird little fashion accessory.

Who buys these things
Remember half of folks are below mean/median intelligence... and for those above many are obsessed with the flex to compensate for not being interesting or having a strong, confident, well grounded self-identity (and yes I fully admit to being an intellectual elitist)

The foldable iPhone Pockets for the foldable iPhone will be $300 and $500.

Crease-free, though.

Old gay guy here KNOWS Issey Miyake design and that its design house designed Steve Jobs's black turtlenecks, so it MUST be perfection; it MUST be Apple; it MUST be bought; it MUST be worth all that and MORE!!! For the love of all that is sacred... People! It's a sock! Get a grip! 🙄:oops:😂
