check your diagnostic, if this is in our system then you need to bring to apple and they will replace you the phone.
every since i've updated to iOS7 my iphone 5, keeps on re starting. Appe replaced my phone. The replacement came with iOS6, after a few days I updated it again to iOS7 and then it did the same thing. It kept restarting again.. I brought to apple again and they saw the panic.plst again and replaced me for the second time. They advised me not to update it, so I'm keeping my iOS 6 for a looong time.

whoever invented iOS7 is a nutjob.

1st post so sorry but can we get any proof of this?

I restored my phone so even if there was a panic.plist I don't have it anymore

Just had another random reboot when opening a WhatsApp notification. This is after a factory reset and iCloud app restore.

Another reboot.

Ok so I have reset settings and phone just reset again. I have now restored it and set it up from scratch as a new phone. Will update if it makes a difference.

Test it for more than a day because after resorting and using iCloud backup mine seemed to be working fine since last night but I got a reboot today.

If it works then screw it I guess I'll start from scratch. Better than having to wait for a replacement.

Yeh will do. After resetting settings mine behaved for over a day. Then this afternoon as I unlocked it, it went straight to apple logo. Seemed to be showing low memory crashes after that which just changed the problem. Hopefully the set up from new will work. Will post back if I restart again.

iPhone randomly restarts!?!

Twice today my 5S froze and rebooted a few minutes later.

I'm going to try a restore and use it as new and see if that changes anything.

Edit: didn't work. Clean start no backup but still getting reboots and this I got a new solid blue screen then a reboot.

Have had it do that about 2-3 times while on fb app. Have also had safari crash a few times while on other forums when someone posts a YouTube vid in their posts. Has to be io7 related. Have had since launch day.

Why isn't it affecting everyone on iOS 7 though?

I gave up and called Apple to get a replacement since it's been less than 14 days. I explained everything I did and they didn't ask me any further questions. Courier will be picking up my phone in the next few days and Apple said replacements get priority so hopefully I'll get my new 5S next week.

Keep us posted on if your new phone does it. I'm tempted to take mine back but it hasn't done it since I restored yesterday. Can't turn up with no crash reports as they will prob just tell me to keep an eye on it.

... the screen suddenly turns blue then black then on to apple logo. I have searched the web and have seen a thread on Apple forums about it. Some people say it's a hardware problem and phones need to be replaced. However some people are saying they are experiencing same problem on iPhone 4S and 5 after upgrading to ios7. Closest Apple store is out of town and unlikely to have any iphone 5S's in. Don't want to replace phone if it's just a software bug. So thought I would start a topic on here to see if anyone else is experiencing the same problem?

I've had those Apple-logo resets on both my iPhone 5 and my iPad 3 since installing iOS 7. I'd never seen that sort of reset in my the 3 years of owning iOS devices before iOS 7. For me it's almost certainly down to iOS bugs.

I bought my 5s last Saturday morning and it rebooted at least 6 times that weekend.

Got a replacement on Monday and just right now on Wednesday morning I got my first reboot.

Bought my gf a 5c on launch weekend and it was working great until last night when she got her first reboot.

This really does look like a software issue. Hope it gets patched soon.

Pretty sure many of the issues are software related. The iPad 3 that I bought on launch day never had an issue until I loaded iOS7. Now it occasionally reboots.

Had the same experience on iPhone 5s, but never had it happen while using it. A couple times I get up in the morning and it wants me to input the 4 digit passcode because it was reset while it was charging overnight.

Which version are you on? I think my reboots started happening when I went to 7.0.2 so I'll probably hold off on updating my new iPhone when it arrives.

If it's a software issue why is it only happening to certain people? I guess it could be a combination of certain hardware and software. Who knows.

iPhone randomly restarts!?!

I have numbers and pages installed but have not used them yet. I just opened them to test if my phone reboots but it was fine. It seems to be a common thing that the reboots start a few days after. I have now been over 24 hrs since restore and no reboots. So will see if they start.

I had 2 of those random blue screen reboots last night on my 5S while using the numbers app. I also had one earlier in the week but don't remember exactly what I was doing on the iPhone. And the numbers app crashed just this morning on my iPad 2. No blue screen reboot though. I hope it's a simple software fix and an update is on its way.

Some of the random reboots are related to the pages, numbers, keynote, etc.. apps accessing icloud file systems.

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5349350?start=0&tstart=0
Not all of them though. The two reboots I had on my iPhone 5 were both when I was in the Apple Settings app! Admittedly both times were in the section to do with iAds so it might have been trying to access icloud in some way.

I'm looking forward to 7.0.3. Apple definitely still have some work to do on iOS 7 although, even with the bugs, I don't regret upgrading. Hopefully we'll see 7.0.3 very soon and then maybe another update to accompany the new iPads around 1st November.

Depends on app and memory usage I think. I never had one until last night, then I had 4. What I was doing was spending a few hours copying text and typing in two apps non-stop. Guess the phone didn't have time to manage the memory.

I don't think I ever had reboots like this on my 4, 4S or 5. I've had the occasional app crashing but never constant reboots like this. Apple did something wrong along the way and I hope they fix it ASAP because it's making my phone unusable when it's crashing at the most inconvenient of times.
