i went to a frys yesterday & i lost all my reception and 3g in there & i had to walk out & wait 10 mins to get it all back :(

Reboot in Walmart

I have the exact same issue. We have two Walmarts close by and the old WalMart has never made my phone reboot, but EVERY TIME I go into the new Walmart it reboots AT LEAST once while in there.

The walmart super center in my town always causes my iPhone to reboot any time I take it off standby and try to do anything. Just tonight I was there with someone else who has an iPhone and both of our phones kept rebooting the whole time we were there. Once we left, they were fine.

3G signals don't work inside. The same thing will happen in an Apple store. So the story goes.

Actually, Apple stores get amazing signal, because they put boosters inside the stores.

What would happen if you have 10 iPhones on display and none can get a 3G signal. ;)

I thought my wife was crazy when she told me her iphone reset everytime she went to our NEW walmart in the area ... not the older one. But then the last 2 times mine has reset 2-3 times while in the same walmart. Cell reception and edge is fine ... just suddenly resets.

We have a new Walmart here in Las Vegas - 215 and Rainbow. All my friends think I am crazy, but everytime I walk near the electronics section - My Iphone 3g Reboots. Older Walmarts are fine, it is just the new WalMart. If Verizon or Sprint could find the source of this they could it to there advantage and force reboots on Iphone owners.. Has anyone reported this too Apple or ATT?

In my Wal-Mart I haven't seen any problems. At the Apple Store, all of the demo phones show No Service but I think that might be on purpose (removed sim or inactive sim) but my iPhone works great with full service.

Wal-mart is the brett michael/emmanuelle lewis/paris hilton love child of stores

I'm gonna feel silly for saying this but I have had it reset several times at one particular walmart.

It never does it outside or anywhere else. It has done it multiple times over several days. Meaning, at least once a visit it DOES reset and sometimes hang on the Apple logo when inside walmart. Each time I was either talking or trying to access something.

At least once per visit. Wierd huh?

So heres what we are going to find out in the next year or two. Walmarts emit some sort of wave that causes iphones to reboot. Those waves also happen to cause cancer.

Srry guys.

It's Wal-Mart trying to take over your brain through your cell phone and turn you into one of the mindless zombies, I mean people, that actually SHOPS THERE!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::p

Sorry for the double post... but you have to hand it to walmart, they definitely found their niche market and continue to be successful :D
