iphone ringtones--mp3s?

good thing a year old thread was resurrected to rehash a problem that has god knows how many identical posts...
 
If you're looking for your own ringtones and are using 2.0 or 2.0.1 software I would suggest this application.
It works great with iTunes and automatically adds them so your next sync will upload your ringtone.
