iPhone screen flashed & charging sound glitches when plugged in to charge

Hey everyone!

I just got my iPhone 6S Plus 2 days ago, and when I just plugged it in to charge and as soon as I did, my screen flashed 3 times and the charging sound glitched out and lagged (kind of choppy sounding). Is there any reason for this or is it nothing to worry about? I only ask because I had so many defective issues with my 5S last year, that I'm kind of freaking out about what just happened.

It does not sound good. Does it do it every time you plug in? Installed any new software?

Is your iPhone 6s new or used?

Are you using an original Apple charger plug and mfi certified lightning wire?
Or are you using any knock off Chinese charging accessories?
