Can't Replace Your Battery?

yeah I have the sdk but no battery remaining to play with it. Posting on my way home, more screens in the next hour.

Can't replace the battery?

Or are you using a Macbook Air? <snicker> :p

SDK Is (Not) Available!

Maybe he/she doesn't have an extra battery...some people can't afford to pay nearly $100 for another battery:eek:.

I agree, the battery prices are insane. Still, I can't understand why Apple would seal the battery in the air, which is otherwise a really slick notebook!

In other news, still no access to the link I was provided. ADC Select is working fine, though!

i was at school and I didnt carry my charger today, reading the live coverage for the event, then downloading and installing the sdk took up whatever battery was left. Now I am back home, so if there are any screenshot requests let me know.
As for the mirror, I wont be able to provide it coz I dont want to upload that 2GB to another server choking up my internet connection, sorry.

Breaking news:::

I just plugged in my iPhone, with an xCode iphone project open, it asked me if I wanted to use the connected iphone for development, I clicked HELL YES
Now if I can only figure out how to run the app on the iphone instead of the simulator

Almost 3 hours of hitting refresh and trying every backdoor I can think of and still no luck getting the SDK. I even went so far as to try and sign-up for the $99 commercial developer link.

The servers are either down or busy.

someone's gotta upload to rapidshare....please. or send me a copy and i'll upload it cause we are all dying to get it

That's kind of cool but flies in the face of the 2.0 beta firmware being needed. It would be sweet if it could.

Did you do anything special to download the SDK on your end, or just click on the email link apple sent you?

?

I am a bit confused regarding the 3g iPhone concept.

Am I reading it wrong, because I don't know why you guy's are excited for a five gigabyte downgrade. =/

Enlighten me.

How to download IPHONE sdk

go to http://developer.apple.com/iphone/download.action?path=/iphone/iphone_sdk/iphone_sdk.dmg
if it doesn't work login and click download iphone sdk, an email will be sent to your email account, click on the link and try to get through the net traffic. If all goes well you will be downloading the SDK, if not you probably have a screen in front of you that says theres and error or something like that. No worries, just go to http://developer.apple.com/iphone/download.action?path=/iphone/iphone_sdk/iphone_sdk.dmg again and it should work this time.

*** AN EASY WAY TO GET AROUND THE NET TRAFFIC IS TO REFRESH THE SITE CONSTANTLY. CLICK REFRESH AND WAIT UNTIL IT COMES BACK WITH AN ERROR AND THEN CLICK IT AGAIN, YOU MIGHT HAVE TO PRESS IT VERY QUICKLY BUT YOU WILL GET THROUGH, YOU'LL KNOW ITS WORKED ONCE YOUVE CLICK REFRESH AND IT DOESNT SHOW AN ERROR, BE PATIENT IT WILL LOAD. ALSO IF A PAGE LOADS WITH NO PICTURES JUST CLICK THE BACK BUTTON AND CLICK THE LINK AGAIN IF THE PAGE LOADS, IF NOT JUST REFRESH, REFRESH, REFRESH.

I finally got in and I'm downloading now. 3 hours to go.

Well, I have the day off tomorrow so I can stay up late playing with it.

that link just says: this session has expired. log back in and download again but I can't find the iphone sdk link to download :(

edit: nevermind, finally got email link to work. I'll upload it to rapidshare if anyone is interested.

right, but downloading the SDK, I assumed you were already logged in as a developer.

5+ hours and counting...

Sigh...

More than 5 hours later and I can't get a decent connection to ADC. Servers keep coming and going, especially the authentication server.

None of the short cuts have worked either, but they are much appreciated anyway.
:(

Only Intel?!!??!

Help!

There I am - happy as a little child, after waiting for almost a year to get to this point.

After a 2Gb download, I come to discover that the SDK won't run on my machine at all! I have a Aluminium PB/Darwin with Tiger, but the Readme says it will ONLY run on an Intel machine with Leopard installed!

Before you start downloading, make sure you have a system up to specs. These are the specs from the Readme:

Compatibility with Mac OS X Versions

iPhone SDK will run on Intel-based Macs running Mac OS X v10.5.2 and later.

Sniff. Anyone want a second-hand SDK? As new...

so i am a PC user  so when or is there a way for me to get the beta 2.0? :( three more looooooong months for me i guess.

I love being at college! 4 mins to download 2 gigs =)

It isn't entirely that.. I have a 30 Mbps connection here. The 2GB download would take me less than 10 minutes. But all the speed in the world won't help if you can't get to the file.

Glad it is working for somebody because it has been 6+ hours for me and I can't get to the iPhone site without some sort of server error.
