They need to go another mini and this time give it premium features. Give it the 120hz, 3 camera lens, let me worry about the battery life.

Just make it the small iPhone and upgrade it consistently every two years. People like my wife will buy a new one every time one comes out, Apple.

You can even charge more and put a more recent camera in it. My wife never used the extra wide camera but it would be nice, if it only has the single main camera, for it to be only a generation behind so she can get the larger sensor for taking better low light photos. On the Pixel phones you can get a really great low light camera even on the cheaper models.

One thing that isn't being mentioned with these rumors about 2025 is the EU ruling. So if Apple doesn't release a new iPhone SE prior to fall 2024 they will have to pull the iPhone SE from the market and they will have no cheap iPhone at that point until they release one supposedly in 2025. That seems unlikely unless the SE line is going to be renamed or something and whatever that phone is hasn't leaked yet.

So I guess the question is do we believe Apple will go without an SE for a time or are these rumors not true? Just a thought. Or do they just drop a slightly refreshed 3rd gen with the USB C connector?

I love Touch ID and hate Face ID, although I wish it had USB-C on it.
The USB C situation is what makes the rumors weird and interesting. If the 2025 rumors are true it means that in the EU there will be a time possibly even up to a year or more that Apple has to discontinue the current iPhone SE while they wait on the USB C version.
