I previously answered you telling you I understand the AI part, I meant "smartphone without AI" which is what we currently have. Not sure if the Android devices have AI currently.
The is no such thing like a „smartphone without AI“. In your iPhone you have text recognition in images, image classification (e.g. search for car in your photos app), and much more. All of this is done using machine learning with is a part of the AI subject.
And of course do Android devices have AI right now and in a more sophisticated way compared to Apple. The point is that Tim is a bean counter and sold us phones, macbooks and ipads with an ridiculous amount of RAM. And since RAM is a part of the chip packing with Apple silicon, there is no way to upgrade except one: Buy new devices. Bad thing about Apples price policy is that e.g. if you want to buy a Macbook Air with 16GB instead of 8 - you have to sell your house. Apple pricing policy is completely insane.

I dont see a reason buy a iphone 16 ... if SE4 is what it will be...
As long as you don’t mind a first generation Apple modem that has never been used anywhere else. It’s intel modem heritage doesn’t build much confidence but who knows, it could be great 🤷‍♂️

The same group's modems, when Intel, was "fine", and given I don't really care about 5G, I'm sure it's 4G modem will be perfectly good.

I don't 'care' about 5G either, but where I live in Germany there is no 4G reception but good 5G reception... this will become more prevalent. Care or not, it's obligatory moving forwards.

Wow really, that surprises me. Not so much that new tech comes, and old tech goes. But in this case, the range limitations of 5G means you need a truck ton of towers, making it far more impractical. Plus, 4G can stream video just fine, so the extra speed of 5G is mostly in the "nice, I suppose" bucket, rather than "yeeees, finally" bucket.

There's also a 3G signal in this area, but they never bothered with the best 4G coverage around here, and once 5G came around the 4G seemed to get even weaker. I can get a barely functioning 1 bar of 4G connection on my older iPhone if I try (and that's scanning all networks!).

Also, at my parents house in England they never got a good data signal on either of their networks, but finally now they do with 5G. 0.5mb download up to 120ish now.

By the way, various countries plan to switch off older connections soon! Bizarrely soon.
