With no 3D touch, does the default keyboard have the touch editing feature on the SE? I would think it doesn't, but not sure. I have 6s, but am considering the SE.

I don't think so the se has it.it's a pressure sensitive feature

What 3D Touch feature is available on the 6s when typing on the on-screen keyboard?

It kinda becomes a mouse touch pad for precise positioning of the cursor. Works great when taking notes or typing a longer email.

What's wrong about the screen? both have same resolution

6S:
1400:1 contrast ratio
Dual domain pixels for wide angel viewing.

SE:
800:1 contrast ratio

You can press on keyboard then move to where you want to edit.

Doesn't seem to work reliably every time for me.

I should mention that my 6s is jailbroke and I already have a tweak whereby swiping across the keys does much the same thing without requiring pressure. (Invaluable tweak!)

Oh well...thanks for mentioning it though.

Ever consider maybe it's the jailbreak and tweak that's causing it to not work reliably? Or try a different 3D Touch sensitivity setting?

Not sure what everyone is talking about. Except for the size, the screen is almost identical.

The 5s is a retina display, but isn't even a 720p screen. That's a huge step down compared to my 1080p 6+. I've gotten use to it after a few days though. If anything it's given me more reason to use my Air 2.

Wait till the cursor blinks. Then 3D Touch the keyboard and it'll always work.

I will miss the 6s's trackpad feature with the se, as long as there is no jailbreak ain available to get swipeselection. Apple made the trackpad feature hardware based to have a reason for 3dtouch although that tweak showed years ago that it is possible to be made via software..

Actually, I turned Swipeselectionpro off and I'm not seeing the 3dtouch keyboard at all.

Were you pulling my leg?

No, just press hard on the keyboard and it activates.

Figured it out...I had turned 3D off. /sheepish grin/

Actually works pretty well...have to play with it a few days. But pressing app icon when no options present triggers the uninstall option which blows.

App icons that don't have 3D Touch actions should just give you 2 quick feedback taps. It shouldn't present the uninstall option.

Take a look at your 3D Touch settings in accessibility menu. Maybe try the light setting.

I already have it set to light.

I just now discovered though that the 3D keyboard isn't active for iMessages though.

C'mon Apple...really?

It's a faster 5s. Same build quality. Best phone in market for my likes and needs.

It is better, but battery life is a bit hyped in my view, but I've always been let down by other testimonies compared to my experience when it comes to battery life (this and gas mileage).

It gets warm using YouTube which I didn't notice on the 5s or 6 I had.

Nimble phone for an on the go guy.

I "shrinkgraded" from the 6s to a 64GB Space Gray SE. I could just never get used to the 6s size.

I had to exchange my SE due to problems with loose buttons. My new unit still has some wiggle in the buttons (I think due to the cutouts being slightly too big), but they seem to actually be getting better as times goes up. Other than that, the build quality is great.

Battery life has been excellent for me. It's miles ahead of the 5s, for sure, and it's noticeably better than the 6s. My usage is relatively minimal compared to many others on the forums though. I rarely play games or watch videos. I mostly use iMessage, Twitter, Email, and Safari.

The screen isn't quite as good as the "Retina HD" screen of the 6s. It's most noticeable in the contrast. But it's still an excellent screen with good colors.

The first-gen TouchID is a non-issue. It's actually the perfect middle ground between the 5s and the 6s. The combo of the first-gen sensor and the A9 processor make it noticeably faster than the 5s but not ridiculously fast like the 6s.

I do miss 3D Touch sometimes, but not enough to switch back.

Unless you feel like you have to be on the cutting edge of Apple tech (3D Touch, Retina HD, TouchID 2, etc), this is an absolutely beast of a little phone. You won't find a "compact" phone from any other manufacturer that can match the power of the SE. I'm loving it.

As some might know, I returned my 6s+ and got a refund because I had some display issues.
Now I'm waiting for the ordered se to be delivered mid may. I'm currently using an old Galaxy s2 with a 4.3" display with poor ppi and I got to admit that the displaysize is quite small for web browsing.. When I'm home, I use my air 2 more often ( I planned that) than when I had the 6s+. nevertheless I still kind of miss the big screen right now and don't like the thought of having given up the most high end iPhone currently available.
I calculated that I will effectively pay about 200€ for the se, coz I sold my 5s before getting the 6s. I plan to get care+ for 99€ additionally (299€ In total for se with 2years care+).
If i pay up to 250€ more I could get the + with 64gb or the 6s with 128gb for 400-450€ in total without care+, I wouldn't get care + with any 6s because that's to much then for me.
I'm not sure what to do considering I want to have a phone which I can use For at least 2 years.
I used my 5s for 1.5 years before selling it and getting the 6s. I later got the 6s + from Apple for free and now returned it. I'm not sure if I can live with the small screen and same design of the se for another 2 years.
