As some might know, I returned my 6s+ and got a refund because I had some display issues.
Now I'm waiting for the ordered se to be delivered mid may. I'm currently using an old Galaxy s2 with a 4.3" display with poor ppi and I got to admit that the displaysize is quite small for web browsing.. When I'm home, I use my air 2 more often ( I planned that) than when I had the 6s+. nevertheless I still kind of miss the big screen right now and don't like the thought of having given up the most high end iPhone currently available.
I calculated that I will effectively pay about 200€ for the se, coz I sold my 5s before getting the 6s. I plan to get care+ for 99€ additionally (299€ In total for se with 2years care+).
If i pay up to 250€ more I could get the + with 64gb or the 6s with 128gb for 400-450€ in total without care+, I wouldn't get care + with any 6s because that's to much then for me.
I'm not sure what to do considering I want to have a phone which I can use For at least 2 years.
I used my 5s for 1.5 years before selling it and getting the 6s. I later got the 6s + from Apple for free and now returned it. I'm not sure if I can live with the small screen and same design of the se for another 2 years.

Get a 6S. It's a nice in between size in terms of screen size and better future proofing when compared to the SE.

Totally agree better get iPhone 6s than already outdated iPhone se + cramped screen totally useless

Best phone I've ever had and I've owned every iPhone, and most other flagship smartphones.

Battery life is amazing. Easily over a day.

Love that I can use it one handed again. The matte edges look good.

I have a 16GB Space Grey.
I was just telling my dad I thought the matte edges looked cool at first since it was different, but I really miss the polished edges from my old iPhone 5s. The polish made my silver 5s look like a gem. The more I look at the matte edges, the more dull it looks. :/

What's wrong about the screen? both have same resolution
Check out Apple website for comparison, the 6s has an HD display, the SE does not. If you think there is no difference than you have not used a 6s display, there is a noticeable difference and I'm not talking about the size of the screen.

Well, technically speaking the PPI is the same, so from that point of view the smaller size should be about the same as far overall resolution quality (although there are various other things as far as contrast, color reproduction, screen technology/design, etc. that would certainly play a role).

I got the rose gold for my son as a media device (we have an extra line that costs us nothing through T-Mobile and a tablet wasn't an option without paying more monthly). He loves it and the battery is as good as when he'd use his mothers 6s on a road trip. The benefit is that OUR phones stay charged. Cases were also super cheap (otterbox defender series brand new for $10 on Amazon).

I've also taken it on runs with me in my flip belt. My 6s plus fits just fine but is a little bit uncomfortable. The SE easily slides right in and I don't even realize it's there after a minute or two.

All in all its a good phone at a great price. I do miss the 3D Touch and think if it was my daily driver it would annoy me much more. As is I forget I can't quickly load into music via 3D Touch but that's all I use on that unit.

We picked rose gold because my wife was entertaining the idea of keeping it for herself, but ultimately decided against it. She thought it would be the "perfect size" but realized it was nicer to carry but the compromise of s much smaller screen wasn't worth it.

Yeah I'm not talking about PPI as both phones have excellent PPI you can't tell apart, it's the contrast huge difference between the 6s and SE, I know I have both and have been going back and forth, SE during the week and 6s on the weekends.

Right, as far as the screen goes, it's not so much the "HD" part that really sets them apart (which mainly refers to resolution/PPI), but the other screen improvements (not counting the size itself).

Kind of surprised by the future proofing comments. These phones have the same internals (6s versus SE). I expect to see the exact same length of support for both devices. If we want to get technical, the SE was released 6 months later, so it might have that much shorter lifespan. If you plan on keeping the device for the long haul (as long as it sees support) a $250 price difference certainly isn't nothing.

Having had the 6 for a whole year, then buying a 6s+, I could not be happier with the SE.
having the speed and responsiveness of the plus that actually fits in my pocket/Hand with no trade offs (yes, I low the ff camera is crap and touch id is slower, no force touch) but to be honest I don't miss any of it.
Keep going Apple on the right track for a lot who love the design and prefer the smaller screen.

Love the size, speed, and battery life on my SE. Miss the 3d touch trackpad. Wish there is a JB though.

Bought mine on launch day, and still getting outstanding battery life.

I got mine on launch day and am very happy with the SE overall.

Battery life is fantastic. I haven't burned through it in a day, yet.

Call quality has actually increased if anything over my 6S and I can't say why. Background noise is so low I sometimes think I've been disconnected in a quiet pause.

Screen is great. Feels like fewer fingerprints. ( I don't use a screen protector).

Speaker volume is notably lower than the 6S, so I'm running the volume at higher % on the SE.

I regularly pair it with UE Boom Bluetooth speaker with zero issues.

But my favorite is the form factor. I'll stick the SE in my front or back jeans pocket before getting into the car to go somewhere. No bending, no problems at all. 4" is the sweet spot size for me.

Hopefully Apple will upgrade the SE at least half as often as the do the bigger iPhones. The longer they delay refreshing the 4" phone, the longer they'll be waiting to get 4" enthusiasts money on their books.

Going from the 6+ to the 5SE for one reason: I hate running with a clunky, "soapy" 6+.

Hope I don't regret it... but intend to upgrade to the 7 the week it comes out.

Got mine delivered on launch day, and I'm doing pretty good. I had horrible battery life for awhile having the YouTube app installed on it, but since I removed it, it's been a lot better. Also deleted Snapchat too... Had a lot of Background Activity on that one.image.pngimage.png

A dremel polishing bit could make quick work of that if you did your prep work correctly before trying to polish it. Wouldn't be that hard to do, I suppose.

I "shrinkgraded" from the 6s to a 64GB Space Gray SE. I could just never get used to the 6s size.

I had to exchange my SE due to problems with loose buttons. My new unit still has some wiggle in the buttons (I think due to the cutouts being slightly too big), but they seem to actually be getting better as times goes up. Other than that, the build quality is great.

Battery life has been excellent for me. It's miles ahead of the 5s, for sure, and it's noticeably better than the 6s. My usage is relatively minimal compared to many others on the forums though. I rarely play games or watch videos. I mostly use iMessage, Twitter, Email, and Safari.

The screen isn't quite as good as the "Retina HD" screen of the 6s. It's most noticeable in the contrast. But it's still an excellent screen with good colors.

The first-gen TouchID is a non-issue. It's actually the perfect middle ground between the 5s and the 6s. The combo of the first-gen sensor and the A9 processor make it noticeably faster than the 5s but not ridiculously fast like the 6s.

I do miss 3D Touch sometimes, but not enough to switch back.

Unless you feel like you have to be on the cutting edge of Apple tech (3D Touch, Retina HD, TouchID 2, etc), this is an absolutely beast of a little phone. You won't find a "compact" phone from any other manufacturer that can match the power of the SE. I'm loving it.

You could get by with an iPhone 4 pal. You of all people shouldn't be making claims about power matching. Smh

How much time did you get to set with that puny ****

YouTube is a battery hog on the SE for some reason. SE runs hot.

I've noticed this too....but luckily with the small screen size, it keeps me from watching much on the SE unlike phones of old like all the 4.7 - 5.5 phones in my past. But Facebook really is a **** program and is a ridiculous resource hog and battery killer. I've almost resorted to deleting the app and running facebook through Safari.

Future proofing as in the 3D touch. More and more 3D touch support being added as time goes by. Both from Apple and third party developers.

Having said all this... I'm using a SE in anticipation on what the 7 brings. If the battery doesn't improve or at least slightly shrink in size then I'll use the SE until 2017 when the supposed 8 comes out. It too late in the cycle for me to justify paying for the 6S.
