Love it. And man, you're jaded. Welcome to the Internet!

Lol by your logic Apple could have only produce five iPhone SE phones and the fact that they have limited supply of a five run production is Amazing!!!!1 and something only Apple could do!

LOL you people crack me up

You crack me up for really thinking that.

It must be dependent on the store/carrier. I ordered my 64GB Silver on 4/5/16 Tuesday at 11:30AM with an expected ship date of 4/19/16-4/26/16. But then at 11:00PM I received a tracking number and it'll be here later today, so 2 days later. Not sure why they list such a late expected ship date.

I think the disconnect comes from the contrast between the niche Macrumors audience, which trends much more towards the cutting edge, and the entire SE market, which is broader and deeper than is represented here. That's why the sales may be greater than is believed or expected by Macrumors member posts.

In other words, contrary to belief, there is a whole other world outside of Macrumors.

Oh please, Apple is purposely doing this. They do this EVERY year a iPhone comes out. They only sale around 500K every year, but claim they sale millions. Give me a break!

So you think they sell only 500k phones and make billions? Give me a break!

I think the iPhone SE is a winner, has the great internals of their current "flagship" 6s. I have an iPhone 4s which I will be upgrading to the SE. The size suits me and the A9 2gb ram has won me over.

It's "news reports" or "puff piece" articles like this that prove how cunning Apple is. Nary a day goes by without this kind of free advertising for Apple.

The amazing, ongoing, relentless expertise of the Cupertino giants marketing department is stunning. They continue on a trajectory of success, unmatched by any other.

Apple Inc. circa 2016... it's all about the marketing.

They really don't make billions. I heard Apple only made 2 million last year. Someone just told me the other day that the the 500K figure was above Apple's expectations. Apple thought they would only sale 350K.

30M old 4" iPhones sold last year, 7.5M per quarter, 2.5M per month, ~600K per week, and people actually believe Apple will only sell 350K SEs on release day.

Ridiculous much?

I can't even keep a straight face anymore. Guys - it was clearly sarcasm. My numbers didn't even remotely sound right. I even went as far as saying Apple only made "millions" in a year, and Apple only sold 500K iPhones 6S/Plus a year.

I think the difference between the iPhone SE and the iPhone 6s, 7, 8, etc, is that the SE won't be on the 1-year product cycle (otherwise it'd be labelled an iPhone 6SE, and be updated alongside everything else to iPhone 7SE), and that the SE will be continuously and consistently popular, month after month, for as long as its specs don't fall too far behind the times.

I don't expect its monthly sales to be high, but I expect it to be good all the time. Also, it adds diversity to their products, which may be important for keeping customers, which is just as important at this point as gaining new customers, of which there are few.

Not necessarily, the iPhone SE is really cheap for the company to produce. Most of its internals and externals are recycled.

Yes, recycled, except almost all the electronic components.

The screen is recycled, but that's it internally. It's just a 6S with a 5S's screen. It's really a brand new beast.

I had to return mine today. 64gb gold. ( loose power button, and annoying sound when you move the phone around or place it on the table , like if theres something loose inside), the phone feels extremey cheap. and its not normal because my 5s (silver) built quality its top notch.... Ill wait till they have more in stock and get the Space gray or Silver, for now ill keep using my little beast, the 5s.

I got the iPhone 5 SE 64GB space gray through TMOBILE. They were out of stock anywhere in Houston, so I ordered it paid $7 for 5 day shipping. Was $25 for 2-day, but they had it in stock. They had all other colors in 16GB.

CONSIDER THIS:
- Got 64gb for the photo/video storage (I have lots of kids)
- Don't have WIFI at the house, just use TMOBILE BingeOn and hotspot.
- Will cover TouchID sensor, as I think there are too many risks with giving up fingerprint and have yet to do so on a device.
- Don't care about gimmicks
- Think the small size works well as a notification device. Jump over to iPad mini if need a larger screen.
- Will switch over to data-only plan at $20/month after 4 months.

Though I'm six foot one with normal hands, I like the small phone. Small phone with an iPad mini is a great combination for a working professional. I use the blackberry/iPad combo for work related stuff.

Delivery time upped from 7-10 days to 2-3 weeks in Singapore for the Phone-that-will-be-a-flop(tm).

Not bad for a "budget" phone where the vastly more popular 64GB version which in actuality is just as expensive as a S7 over here.

Everyone on this forum is a fricken' financial genius it seems, not to mention knows inside-and-out the inner working of how Apple operates. Armchair millionaires.

Spare me...you don't know anything more than anyone else who is speculating...for all you know, Apple is playing the game of fake shortages. No one knows and no one ever will.

It would seem that I am a genius as Cook just pretty much said what I predicted before the earnings announcement. Whereas, it appears that you're still paranoid....

You must be truly paranoid if you think they would destroy tens of billions of $ in market value just to create fake shortages.
