£359 for an iPhone is quite cheap.
for an iPhone, sure, for a smartphone.... not so sure.

Can you still get subsidised deals in Italy or do you have to buy the phone outright?
you can get subsidized deals with carriers, but I don't like it very much because they usually are 24 or 30 months deals. I prefer to buy my iPhones outright because I usually upgrade every year....

I'd say it's the best value phone Apple have ever sold in the UK.

If subsidised phones were not available in the UK this is the one I would buy. The 6S looks very poor value in comparison.
For Apple it's surely the best (actually 3G and 3GS were good value at the time).
I'm really upset about the price I paid for my iPhone 6 and 6S in the last two years. Insane prices.....

Well, thanks for figuring out what Android and WP users had figured out since 2012-2013...

I pretty much expect texting, web browsing, and video playing to be a much worse experience. I think this SE really is for a growing minority of people with small hands like kids, haven't adapted to change it and don't want to, and looking for value.

I know in my mind, I need a "4.5-"5 minimum to text comfortably. I used an iPhone 5 as recently as last year before I sold it, and I knew "4 is too small. But I am not getting SE for size and won't use it as a primary. I think it makes a nice travel phone or if I go biking for its compact size while listening to music. An iPhone SE can never be my primary or favorite because "4 is too small and iOS isn't my fav mobile OS. Android showed me the light years ago. The iPhone SE will always be secondary to me.

I guess those few hundred million iPhone 1 through 5 sold were totally unusable.

That said, i do expect some UI refinements to get some screen space back on the 4" phone.

iOS used to work a lot better in that size than it does today, and its mostly UI bloat.

The OP just shared an opinion. Its funny to see dozens of others heaping scorn and trying to make themselves feel better for having spent hundreds of dollars on the SE.

Gotta be in it to win it

Do you really think consumers need "to feel better" about themselves for purchasing a product they wanted?

SE is the worst product Apple has ever released as its the oldest.

Apple using a press conference to show off a 5S case is embarrassing.

It's not a premium phone...but not the worst product Apple has put out.

If Apple updates this in two years time, at least a 50-50 chance that I switch to this.

Cost isn't a priority for me, but the longer battery life is a definite plus. And pretty sure that 64gb max won't be a problem for me either.

Choices are wonderful...

My friend has a 5S and types better and more accurate than me.

P.S: I have a 6s+. I think it has more to do with your own ability to type than the screen size.

So I went to the apple store and purchased an apple smart keyboard for my iPP. I didn't have my phone with me so I had to use my CC- anyway i was asked to confirm my email for receipt by entering it in.

LOL, they were using an iPhone 5S at the time. I normally buy stuff online and have it shipped or do the apple prepaid and pickup. This time I got to witness the mighty display again and let me tell you it was a real piece of dung to type on. I was actually typing so slow because the screen was so tiny it was a real joke. I decided this was totally not worth the money to buy an iPhone SE. The display really is too cramped for texting (which would be primary use) but don't even bother with surfing the web, haha.

Unless you come from an iPhone 5 series and have been using for years, there is just ZERO chance you can and will like a 4" low res 640p display; it's just asinine to type on. Going from a 5.7" display QHD display to a 4" 640p display especially using iOS is like trying to type with your casio wrist watch; you know the old calculator on your wrist watch version.

I just had to share my thoughts on this. This 4" display is unapologetically bad to text on.

I've had a 5 since they came out. I don't have much problem texting but I also mostly do my texting by talking. I really just text by typing when I don't want to disturb someone.

Some people prefer smaller screens over larger.... Like me... I am coming from a 5" oneplus X and before that a 4.7" iPhone 6 and absolutely love the smaller screen. Fixed up an old 5 to use and get used to the smaller screen and just pre ordered my SE. Everyone has a different preference.... That is why the SE exists.

correction: "That is why the SExiest."

I was wrong. The SE is markedly faster than the 5s and 6 I had on nearly everything it does. Apps simply load noticeably faster. Battery is stronger. I am glad I picked one up.

yup totally agree. See science has proven that human fingers are increasing in length roughly 3cm every 18 months, ever since the first Iphone was launched. I have read Sarah Palin's monologue on the subject. So we should definitely see phones around 10" being standard in next 5 years. and in say 50 years, should we be surprised if a 50" phone is standard? It would just be asinine if they weren't ;)

Some people like using smaller screens with no problems and some have issues.
Just like some people have issues handling a larger screen while others do not.

To each his own.

Cheers !

The wireless card machines use iPhone 4S not 5S, get your facts straight.

Others may disagree with you, as I do, but you're entitled to your opinion. I prefer the thicker phone and the iconic design, much more then what the 6s has

It may be kind of silly of me because the metal housing is undoubtably more "premium" than plastic, but a partner me hoped for Apple to reuse the iPhone 5C casing. I never owned one, but had an unexplainable desire to own a blue one. It felt so good in the hand with its curved back, but with a thickness that allowed for good grip.
