I do hope they update the SE because it will be my next iPhone. My current 6S is great but even it is a little too big for my taste. My contract with AT&T will be up in October, and all of the stuff that is posted daily about the iPhone 8 or iPhone Edition or whatever the **** they are going to call it does not interest me. My phone is a phone, and an email device, mostly, I don't watch movies on it or whatever other (much younger, I am sure) people do on their phones. I do not want a larger phone. The 4S was perfect for me. If they update the SE it will be my choice. If not, I will look elsewhere. I do believe there is an age divide in play here, and I know on what side of the divide I am. On the side that Apple does not care about. And I understand why. But still...

Gauging by the number of posts I wouldn't be surprised if Apple eventually drop the SE due to low demand like the 5C.

I did my part to help unconstrain the supply of new(ish) SE parts by returning the entire 13 day old phone and box yesterday. I wanted to like this phone, I really did, but ultimately I couldn't get used to the downgrade to the tiny screen size. There are many plusses and a few minuses on my comparison with the SE and my 3 year old LG G3, and the overall size of the SE is very handy; I just couldn't get used to the screen that occupies a mere 61% of the area of that otherwise pretty face. The same body with a bigger screen would be great. I'll be first in line if they ever make something like that. In the meantime, I'll soldier on with old reliable.

If Apple stops making iPhone SE sized devices I will simply buy a few SEs and keep them around. I just refuse to buy anything bigger. One-handed use used to be a selling point, Jobs always emphasized one-handed use to be essential in a good phone. I hate the huge phone trend. Its also not nice that Apple are treating the SE as the budget option. I'd like an SE sized phone with the same damn specs and capabilities more or less as your flagship. Why can't you do that, Apple? Its not as if people buy it purely for the price. People buy it mainly for the gorgeous smaller design, people who don't watch Netflix series episodes back to back. If they priced it similarly to their other phones those units would still sell just as well.

I would like to add you as my friend.
You speak from my heart.
I just refuse to buy anything bigger.
