Scratch what I said previously. I do have a microscopic white particle under my camera lens, but it seems just out of view of the lens itself, or small enough that it doesn't impact on photos. Is there any way to check? Perhaps take an all black photo?

Man so indecisive about color and size,

Have a 16 gold, debating getting a 64. Already had a screen almost as bad as my company 5s, and dont really want to deal with trips anymore or returns, exchanges.

What would you do? Just learn to be efficient on space since I have a 64 6s plus and cloud stuff?
I think I might just want/need to keep it and having a white device in the mix looks nice

Regardless of size or color of end all preference, I think an inferior screen would trump all but functionality on an inferior overall experience,

I'm quite surprised that reception is notably weaker than on my old 5. I can park up in the same place where I would get decent 4G coverage on my old phone, yet stay on 3G with the SE. It does flick into 4G occasionally but I'm amazed that like a 5 year old phone has better 4G capabilities.

^^^ I think that was a temporary issue with my provider as 4G is now rock-solid.

One thing I have noticed - when you look at the SE side on - what are the thin strips at the top and bottom of the phone? On my silver SE those two strips look scuffed or cloudy. Really ruins the look of the phone, although on the scale of issues it is a 2/10 at best. Just cheapens the look. Anyone else notice this?

I'm totally not trying to sound like an ass in saying this. I know for many people, it's not worth the effort. However, I wish people would force Apple to improve quality control by not accepting defective screens and such. It enables them to cheapen their QC and get away with it. It's pure capitalism. If the consumer doesn't speak with their purchasing power (I.e., return/refuse to buy), Apple won't change or any other company, for that matter.

you obviously don't know about how businesses work. there is a certain percentage to QC. most of the time people only complain when they have problems when the majority don't even bother. its even worse online. all you hear about is the problems when millions and millions of people don't.

I actually do understand how businesses work. I also understand that companies prefer to not devote money towards things like QC, as it doesn't generate revenue for them. It's viewed as only an expense. I work in Compliance, and I completely understand this philosophy. If it's not sales or something that increases profits, most companies would rather not spend on it.

so then you realize the percentage of faulty units is expected out of millions. some people just have bad luck.

I went through 3 SE's. All had faulty logic boards. I gave up and went back to a 6s. Until the 7s shows up. Am I frustrated? A little. Am I okay with this? Meh, 6s is a good phone. I know, I gave my 128GB to my guy for his birthday. Now I'm using another one.

Can you elaborate on faulty boards?

So glad my SE has a good screen, doesn't have a loose power button either.

It's a beast 9.3.3 jail broken device

It showed itself when you hard reset. Lines of a multitude of colors would be either horizontal or vertical. At restart the screen will have a slight, sometimes really noticeable, flicker. Tests pull back as faulty, issues found and a tech said it was logic board related. 2 days and over 6 hours to get my original and two replacements with same issues.

Odd that stinks!

Just did a hard reset not seeing that.

My SE has similar issues to yours, but are triggered differently. I'm honestly just starting to think there may be a few bad batches of iPhone SEs.
