Just received new SE phone. I noticed that the "pages, garage band, numbers and keynote" apps are large, memory hogging apps. Does anyone actually use them?

Thanks
I delete all of them. They also came on my iPad Pro I bought in January and I couldn't believe how much space they take up. Freed about 6-7GBs.

I know when I go to the Apple Store they hand me their credit card device and tell me to type in my email address and it is very hard after using my 7+ but a friend has an SE and let me use it for several hours and it felt very good in the hand, like I remembered iPhones felt long ago.

Hope you enjoy, it is too late for me. :)

Ive had my SE for almost a year now, I keep returning to it every once ina a while at least.

Sometimes its my daily driver for an extended period of time (days, or a week at a time)

But I would be saddened if I didn't also have my iPhablet,

Also just glad to have two iPhones, if i do the buy/sell thing with a new model as Ive been known to do, without any iPhone downtime or worrying if I'll have to find a replacement phone to use in the interim before the next model (a bad strategy)

I should wisen up and not buy/sell anything until new devices are jailbroken though. Or at least, not sell off the model that the new one replaced until its been properly jailbroken.

Selling 6s+ and having a stock 7+ until around Christmas time, SUCKED!

I had SE jailbroken on 9.3.3 still at the time, but it felt like a regression going from two jailbroken phones to just one and waiting on the other,

I'm getting there,

I use them, really depends on what you do with your phone.

Regardless of size, I don't care for the curved-bleeding edges of the newer models. I much prefer the I phone 5 and SE body design.

Exactly my thoughts. I'm on a 6 and never managed to like the design in the last 2 years.

I'm getting there,

You don't jailbreak devices, you jailbreak the operating system.

You don't jailbreak devices, you jailbreak the operating system.

While that's an accurate distinction i'm not sure why you felt the need to point it out. It's a bit of a 'know-it-all' statement if you don't mind me saying.

Back to the subject at hand, any iPhone with no camera bump is a winner in my book!

Camera bump?

This one for example.

Interesting. I was not aware of that. What issues does it create?

SVP

People have been complaining about the camera bump since the iPhone 6 came out in 2014. The only "issues" that it creates are for people who use their phone case-less and rest it on its back, and don't like it resting on the camera, as well as many who don't like it for purely aesthetic reasons.

My phones go immediately into an OtterBox Commuter case with a tempered glass screen protector. I have yet to damage or even scratch any of mine.

A profound experience indeed. I bought my black 64GB version early this year. A few weeks later, I got the white 16GB as a company phone. As long as I need to carry two phones with me, I'm really happy they're both so pocket-friendly. ^^

Sweet. I had the white one in 32GB's, but traded it for the 128GB black version.

Good on you. What was less sweet in my case was the fact that Apple unexpectedly introduced the upgraded memory variants literally days after I got mine. I can live quite confortably inside the 64GB room, and the 16GB version is only used for the working purposes... but the fact that I could've had a double memory for the same price made me... slightly displeased for a few seconds. :)

I don't use cases on my phones since the iPhone 4S days. Never had a single scratch on any of the devices. That camera bump still annoys the hell out of me.

I bought a 64GB about a month ago even after Apple released the 128GB model. I bought it because I really don't need the 128GB model and I don't even have music on my phone. I still have a 128GB 6S+ I can use for music if I need to. I just wanted to get the 64GB model while I still had the chance. I paid $50 less then the price of the 128GB so I am good with that.

FYI, Boost Mobile has the 32GB and 128GB models in stock. You can easily unlock them via swiftunlocks too.

Tempted to pick up the 32GB model and sell my 16GB I picked up from them a couple weeks ago

They will not allow you to trade up? I snagged a 32GB, SE from T-Mobile, and two days later they allowed me to trade up to a 128GB version.

I purchased the phone from Boost. I'm probably still in the return period, but since I already got the phone unlocked, am using it on T-Mobile and it's really just a back up phone, I'll probably just keep the 16GB mode.

I never found the SE-sized phone pocketable. But I think people today have forgotten what a truly pocketable phone feels like. Think BlackBerry Curve. The SE feels like a brick by comparison. I hate it. I hate all iPhones, actually. I also hate it that almost everyone today is constantly staring down at their stupid phones. Pathetic!

Blackberry is not producing any more good devices and the world has moved on.
