Hi folks.

So I have purchased an iPhone SE (new on sale from Amazon) for use on my postpaid ATT account while traveling and running.

I have an iPhone X but do not want to take it on trips to places where it may be of interest to others and I really do love the size of the SE while running.

It came pre installed with 10.3.3 so it is one that is newish stock.

Big question is do I upgrade to 11.3 or keep it at 10.3.3?

Battery life and general usability are the key concerns.

I do have a few silly legacy games that do not run on iOS 11 that would be nice to keep (I do have an iPad Mini 4 still on 10.3.3, so thats not the biggest deal), but I want the best bag for my buck on this little guy!

Also, can I downgrade to 10.3.3 if I do not like the experience? I think I read apple stopped signing 10.3.3 for all devices but the 6 or 6s. Can i save the SHSH blobs and downgrade from there if I did take the plunge?

Thoughts and opinions are welcomed. I have read a decent amount of the forums on the 10/11 debate on the SE and I do think it will run ok especially if I wipe the device and set it up as new....I hope!?!

I still have iOS 10.3.3 installed on my SE, but the X is my daily driver so I don't use my SE all that much. I do love how the device performs on 10.3.3 thus I didn't really have a need to upgrade to iOS 11 when it was released.

With that said, I have seen most people say iOS 11 on the SE is completely fine. But there will be a few people who will say the experience isn't that great.

Unfortunately, once you upgrade to iOS 11, you can't revert back to 10.3.3 as Apple stopped signing it awhile ago.

Some threads like https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/to-update-or-not-6s-10-3-3.2113167/ and/or https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ios-11-3-is-it-worth-it-yet.2107334/ might be of some help.

Well...Is all about preferences...You can watch a video on youtube to see which UI is more appealing to you. 10.3.3 and 11.3 both run great and 11.3 is even slighty fast than 10.3. The control center is better and the battery life is quite the same. So it's up to you :D

I actually still have my SE on it’s original iOS 9. It’s not my main phone- more for collection purposes so I don’t care. Runs super smoothly.
