I would wait and see what the se 2 look likes and what not I have the se I’m with metro my upgrade is in feb so I’m saving my upgrade so I can get it if it’s coming out

Here in Australia last September I got $0 out the door and US$35 a month for 24 months for my 128GB SE. I get the impression that I'm paying the Australia Tax, but I'm on a carrier plan because I had a bad experience buying outright (a Sony Z5 Compact. A replacement was unavailable forever - all they could offer to me was a much bigger and mediocre flagship XZ).
But I didn't wait. I found with the SE that I had waited too long already to decide on it - since last March. Happy owner here. 😀 There are too many unknowns with the next model if there is one.

I don't want to be locked to Straight Talk or Walmart plans though. And yeah $14 for 24.

It’s not. It’s an AT&T version. That can be unlocked through AT&T. Takes like 24-48 hours to do.
I picked up an 8+ with a second one on AT&T's buy one get one. Once I started using the 8+ I wanted the SE in addition so I scooped one up on Amazon AT&T locked for $200. I plan to just sim swap depending on my mood or plans. I think the SE will turn into my daily driver with the 8+ used when I want to game on the road or need a better camera.
