My 77-year-old father preordered one and is expected to get his on Friday. “I’ve never been this excited for a new phone,” he told me. It will be replacing his iPhone 4S, which still works fine, running iOS 7. I told him he should be excited; I’m excited for him.

Any update on the screen over iphone7 or 8?
I really need iphone 7 to SE comparison, and what I am going to miss from the iphone 11.

I was going to complain that the bezels look ugly large considering the newer slimmer/bezel-less phones then I realized you need it for touchID or have asymetirical bezels which will probably look uglier.

This phone is a real steal and I hope the sales shatter Apple expectations, the value to offer is amazing, I hope the message goes through we don't want notch and we don't want faceID. I am surprised they put in the latest chip I am only guessing its cheaper to produce more of the modern chip than keep the older ones around.

I have never imagined myself buying the lesser phone, always the greatest, but here we are. I don't need 3-camera phone and a notch that can graph facial features.

The new SE (as all newer iPhones) has T-Mobile Band 71 (600 MHz) which the iPhone8 lacked. I recall when the 8 was released that T-Mobile was upset that their "new" band wasn't included.

Mine gets here tomorrow. 128GB and in the mythical white back/black front variety. Looking forward to getting a few years out of this one, particularly if no TouchID makes its way into the 12 Pros.

There's a lot to like about this one but I can wait for the iPhone 12 non-Pro 5.4", even with COVID-19 delays. I decided I like night mode too much for the SE.

iPhone 4/5 design? Sounds like you want the same old thing again after all.

But Apple isn’t really making anything new. So I’d rather if they recycle the good things.
