iPhone SE Teardown: 3D Touch Chip Removed, iPhone 8 Camera Sensor, and More

I get that it has a small battery, but what the hell are you doing with your phone for it to last barely half a day??? It must be glued to your hand non stop. You need help.

I carry two phones, one of which being an iPhone X. I use both phones equally, and my iPhone X doesn’t last a long time. Phone world be almost dead way before the end of the day from a 100% start. If I have a 7 or 8 am start, phone would be at around 20-30% at around midday. My other phone would last me pretty much the whole day from a 50% start from the same starting time.

NOT Rocket Science, a quick review of the Tech Specs makes it clear:

The 2nd-Gen SE's Back Camera has the exact same 12 Mpx image sensor has the XR !

I can’t believe there are still “it wouldn’t happen under Steve Jobs” posts happening in 2020. He died in October 2011, just as the iPhone 4S was released. Apple has thrived beyond anyone’s wildest expectations since then.
You know, it wasn’t like Apple didn’t prosper under Steve. Apple would be more or less successful with him as it is now with Tim. But with Tim they make monstrous ammount of money because they sell old things, which is arguably the easier way. That’s how it is.. no hard feelings about it. I think it’s important to remember the founders every now and then, especially those giant figures like Steve. History is important because we can learn a thing or two from it.

Agreed. Although Steve Jobs is no longer available for helping out Apple, that does not mean we should dismiss some of the important things like continue making extraordinary product with a lower price point.

Apple releases a budget $399 iPhone that outperforms any available Android phone, drawing more customers into the Apple ecosystem, and you’re complaining that Steve Jobs wouldn’t have allowed it.

Username checks out.

That really doesn’t mean anything significant to me but I can agree that Apple still makes the best SoC. When I bought my first iPhone I didn’t even bother to look on what CPU is in there. God bless you if you’re OK with the greatest company in the world that’s constantly recycling old things.

People are buying these ”old things”. Tim’s job is to have Apple produce products that people will buy. So last fiscal quarter people bought $91B of “old things”. Apple is not in the business of producing custom products for the masses, so there are customers who are unhappy that Apple didn’t get their requirements.
