I have the option of buying either a SE or a 6 ,both brand new. The single difference between are 100 euro on my 2 year contract on vodafone.

I really don't know what to buy . I am comming from an htc m7 ,but i have another iph 5 which is my wife's.
I really like the overall of the 6 , but i like the specs of the SE.

What do you thing i should do ? i cannot make up my mind :(( this is the first time for me to be this undecided.

Which is more important to you, a big screen or the ability to use it one handed? If you want the big screen get the 6, if you want one handed use go for the SE.

Yeah, they are too close in specs, so unless you need a barometer, it comes down to smaller size vs larger screen. That's it. And no one can tell you what you should do because the choice is personal to you.

I went from a 6 to an SE because coming from a 5 I always hated the larger size, and never got used to it. I also hated the side placement of the Power button because I was always accidentally turning off my screen, and I never use my phone for Internet or entertainment, so smaller is better for me.

Woww ...verry fast responsiveness times !! thx guys :)

the thing is that i am sick of my big screen m7 and that i can never use it with one hand, but on the opposite, i find it to small the 5's screen and like too outdated :( I really like the 6's screen and round edges and the proffi look but the only thing keeping me on track is that it has the accesability funtion to drop down the icons.

Is it really helpfull ? do you use it every day ? maybe some of the 6 's users can clear it up to me

can it really give me the feeling that is not such of a deal that bigger form factor or is it just for fun, but not really ergonomic ?

I have a 6+ so the icons shifting down may be a bit different from the 6 due to the bigger size, but I don't find it all that helpful. It works for doing basic things if you don't have two free hands, but it doesn't help a lot. Personally I can't wait to get enough extra money to buy an SE and go back to a usable screen size.

Given your concerns are mostly about things that are personal preferences I'd recommend buying whichever one you are leaning towards, and try it out for a bit. If you don't like it and want to go for the other one Apple has a good return policy that you can make use of.

about the apple policy i think it does not aplies to a product bought from vodafone:( .None of my friend use iphones, and the only one i can use to compare are the one displayed in demo stores. But there is a big inconvenient. They all have that big bumpy alarm thingy and it realy destroys youre overall feeling. Thx again for all youre help guys ! much apreciated !

OP, the SE is more powerful than the 6 with many specs up to par with the current flagship 6s

go for the SE, and if you're worried about the larger display, see if you can swing a 6s somehow as the bump in ram alone makes it worth it imo especially if you plan to hold on the phone for a while.

The 6 isn't bad by any means, but when compared with the SE or 6s in terms of processing power and ram, it's not the most sensible option right now for a new purchase.

I may be in the minority, but I can't think of a time other than taking pictures that I ever use my 6S plus two handed.

My wife has small hands and a ridiculous otterbox on her 6 plus. Uses with two hands for some operations but it's more due to the bulk the case adds.

As your wife has a 5 that you can test out. If possible I'd go try out the 6 and see how it feels.

SE

No barometer (SE users reporting they aren't seeing elevation data in the health app)
No taptic engine
No 3D touch
Slow touch ID (first generation)
No 128 gb option
No LTE advanced
No 5 megapixel facetime camera

Also the SE screen is completely interchangeable with the 5S , so you are basically buying screen technology that was first introduced nearly 3 years ago.

There have also been multiple reports of loose power buttons. It's crazy apple haven't sorted this issue out yet, i had this problem all the way back with the iphone 5

I agree with the person above. I would not buy an iPhone 6 anymore. It's simply a worse deal now that the SE is out. The specs are just too much better on the SE and 6S. The 2gb of ram makes a big difference, and the processor is more future-proof. If you prefer a bigger size screen and can spend a little more, I'd go for the 6S. If you want a smaller screen, I'd get the SE.

ok , so to be honest with you , the extra strech to the 6s is not possible.

i am acustomed with the 5 and the overall shape, but if to be really frank is much more nice looking and stylish than the silver, notpolshed SE metal bar.
But doesn-t the iph 6 has touch id 2 ?! is it only on 6s ?:(

Features that are useless for many people. Never had that 'loose power button' problem in my 5S, but I don't think that's a big deal.

Replying to OP: I think it's a no brainer... SE is better in specs, appears to have a much much better battery life and it's cheaper. So, if size is not a problem, I think SE is without a doubt the best option right now.

Plus, in my opinion, the 5S/SE design is so much better then the 6/6s.

Only the 6S and 6S+ have 2nd Gen Touch ID. It's obviously up to you, as to what matters most. I think you'd be getting pretty outdated hardware to get the 6 or over the SE. You also aren't used to a 4.7" screen, so it wouldn't be an adjustment. I actually am considering an SE over my 6S, but I am now so used to the 4.7" screen and 3D Touch.

Had the 6s+ but it was too big for my taste, so I sold it, and got the Samsung S7 edge to try out for a few short days. It was great to hold and the screen was perfect for me, but the OS was not to my liking. So I wanted the 5SE when it was about ready to come out, but something told me to check out the 6s. Weighed the pro's and con's of both and finally settled on the 6s. .7 inch bigger but still able to pocket the phone, and easier to hold than the 6s+. Had the 5s and it was a good phone, so the SE and 6s would be a good choice depending on $$ you may have.

Get the SE for sure. iPhone 6 is going to struggle when iOS 10 and 11 come around, purely because of its lack of ram.

People will tell you 1GB is fine, but we're at the threshold now of where 1GB is barely enough to handle the endless list of features apple have added over he years.

iPhone SE may be smaller, and the display not quite as advanced, but it's supremely future proof and will last for years. I kid you not, my iPhone 5s handled iOS 9 better than my iPhone 6. The bigger display really takes its toll on system memory.

SE is 100% the smarter choice.

I came here to write basically the same thing. Today it may be 1 handed use vs larger screen, but what if IOS 10 (september) has several new features that are axed from the 6 just b.c of RAM. Similar to multi-tasking on the iPads with only 1gb RAM.

i don't think that ios 10 will exclude the 6 from the market ... just say'n..

My son is making me crazy;). He thinks he wants a 5se instead of his 6. He claims the 6 is too big... He does have it in an otter box. I offered him a slimmer case instead. I waited such a long time and was so eager for the bigger screen that to me it still seems like a step back. He has smaller hands and appreciates the internals with the smaller screen. Can one really tell the difference in processor speed? I feel like I need to save him from himself but it might be own love of the bigger screen that is influencing me.

The 6 is more expensive with weaker speaks, the 6s or SE make more sense. Only get the 6 if you only care about the screen and don't want to pay more for the 6s.

The A9 will make a difference in the longevity of the device and the extra RAM helps too. There's also the 12MP camera and retina flash.

He already has a 6. He wants to make a change to his current situation.
