It's called "product placement." It's a form of advertising. Coca-cola company pays for it, PepsiCo pays for it. What makes Apple so special that others will pay to advertise Apple's product for them.

If that was true, I wouldn't be seeing Iphone ads 10 times a day. Or Ipod (edit) touch ads another 5 times a day.
Hey man...Just passing on the information I heard....Not claiming to be the source.

In the recent episode of Mythbusters, "Trail Blazers", Adam Savage can be seen using his iPhone in several scenes, as a stopwatch and a calculator.

Was browsing the new Toyota Matrix photo gallery and look what I discovered :p

The cancelled show Journeyman showed the iPhone often, and even the main character used the web browser in part of the story.

It also pushed the Ford Mustang, old and new.

It does make me laugh, though, to see how many times a generic laptop or generic computer is actually a mac, with a circle or something obscuring the logo.

Even non-macs sometimes use mac keyboards or monitors, or things. the movie Swordfish and others have mac keyboards on "non-mac computers" as they are displayed. the screens and operating systems and things are usually special effects, anyway.

And there is Office Space, with classic mac graphics on cubicle-grade beige pc box computers. :D
