Mine's just my full name. I don't like to think of myself as the "I bought the white iPhone just so people know I have the more expensive one, oh look I can send an e-mail from my phone" type of person. (For the record, I have a black 16gb 😉 )

Yeah, weird. Some people bought the white one because they liked the way it looked. Strange right?

(not me I bought it so you know I have the spendier one)

Well, I don't believe I insinuated that all people who buy white iPhones bought them because of their higher price. There is a distinct aesthetic effect with buying the white iPhone, but I know people who have bought the white iPhone just because of the higher price. Thanks though.

Mine is...

"Who wants to touch my monkey?"

Course, I only use it for personal emails. haha I did this to piss off the wife. 😛

I like having a sig for my mobile just so people know my short responses aren't being rude, but I'm typing on a mobile phone 😀

"Sent from my iPhone" is just another way for Apple to advertise it.

How come we can't also make that as our signature for texts also?

That's not too bad or cocky. I'll think I'll try that.

I'm currently using:

Name

Sent from my iphone
So please pardon any typos

I justt use:
This message has been sent from a mobile phone.

As I do agree with the rest of you, "sent from my iPhone" does sounds a bit cocky and braggy.

My signature on the iPhone is the same as my Outlook signature, just my name.

Many security experts advise against having signatures that tell people you are mobile. Plus, such signatures are as pretentious as the ones that advertise "Wirelessly posted......blah, blah, blah". The other ones that advertise your name, title, phone, FAX, etc are a waste of bandwidth since they are often longer than the content of the email.

Wow, that sounds huge.

So it's like this?

Sent from my iPhone

Okay....thanks for making a great point....now that I look at yours...mine was ton of information.

I just changed it to:

Name

"I hate quotations" - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Sent from my iPhone

I figure if people want to know all that extra crap they can call me and ask. 😀

Steve

This thread got me thinking I should change mine from the default as well. How about these ones?

Sent from the future.

Sent from my precious iPhone 3G.

Sent from jail.

Sent from the center of the Earth.

Sent from Google.

Sent from my iPhone (do not MMS me).

Sent from inside the Pentagon.

Mine is the standard "sent from my mobile device."

For some, there was a time when people adhered to the unofficial rule that signatures should be 5 lines or less. *sigh* I miss those days.

Mine has a dividing line under my typical sign-off, but I left the iPhone thing as a way to explain why I was able to reply even though I'm not at my computer.😀

Regarding the security risk of saying it was sent from a mobile device...Why is that risky?

I've been playing around with the signature block of my iPhone and was wondering if people are using anything more clever then "Sent from my iPhone".

What are you using? Let me know!

Left the "Sent from my iPhone" line, but added:

Name
School and year
Positions
Cell Number
Personal Email
School Email

and then

"Sent from my iPhone"

I feel its necessary for the reason mentioned above of so people know if its shorts its from a phone.
