Why the hell cant I do two apps at once? It’s so frustrating when I have to close an app to use another.. Why can’t Apple make this a reality? I’m seriously looking at the Note 9 or the Pixel XL 3 next year if Apple can’t make this work..

I would have thought with the taller screen of IPhone X, it could do PiP video at the top while using another app underneath. Or safari/notes/messenger apps. Like a portrait version of iPad side by side.

Not really an issue for me, I didn’t multitask even when I had my note 7.
If it’s a huge deal for you, I’d recommend getting a note 8. Large screen for all of your multitasking needs. I also think all android phones can do multitasking with apps with the Oreo update

Get an iPad. If you really want a multi window phone get an Android device. I don’t see why they should add this useless feature for the minority.
If you want multitasking on your phone you should buy a MacBook, wtf? This is why Apple will never go out of business.

I was using Samsung S8 for a few months before I switched to iPhone X, and not once I used the multitasking with two apps.

I can think of a few times it would be quite useful to have two apps going at once, mainly in terms of having a reference tab while writing a text or email on the go. Maybe it will come with the rumoured larger screened phones next year?

I didn't buy a MacBook solely because I can't multitask on my iPhone. I bought it as my computer. What I am saying and a few others have chimed in about: Not offering multi tasking for the iPhone, but for the iPad, gives buyers an incentive to buy both. Apple is a business.
I don't find the iPad that much of an incentive since I prefer macOS.

Because Im listening to pandora and checking my email right now so there's many situations that the iPhone uses 2 apps at once.
Music playing and gps navigation is running and guiding me etc...

Is this a serious post? Then I guess the MacBook/macOS is stupid because I can do picture-in-picture on YouTube so I can watch videos while surfing other webpages. At least let us listen to audio while using another app.
You can do that. In situations where you can’t it’s down to the app developer. Also your comparison to laptops is stupid. Large screen iPads HAVE split screen.
