Awesome seeing a positive thread -- wish we had another 100 like this. :apple:

Thanks so much for the voice control PDF cheat sheet. I knew the iP4 had voice control but I had no idea how to start it or what commands to use. It's fun to say something like 'Play album Disneyland' and have it pull up Disneyland park music. :)

I jailbroke my old 3G. I swear, if anyone has an old one laying around (or an old 3GS), I suggest doing so. Very cool. It's like a peak into a whole new world.

For real? You actually laughed out loud from that. Okay then......

/there goes the positivity......

chill out dude he was just messing around. Most threads would stay positive if people didnt point out and make a big deal out of the little jokes and sarcasm that people make all the time and say they ruin the thread.

I see.

So, for making fun of that member for not knowing about that existing feature, that guy gets a pass.

For me pointing out that it wasn't nice to lol at a member for not knowing about an existing feature, you come down on me.

Makes total sense.

/Ah, the iPhone forums are such fun:rolleyes:

Hi from the airport. Zen Bound 2 is out. Must have for this trip. Can't download from iPhone, it's bigger than 20MB. Airport WiFi here sucks, iTunes reports it'll take 6 hours to download. Fire up tethering and 6 hours shrinks to 26 minutes. That was 20 minutes ago. Since then I've been interrupted by several phone calls. Zen download will be done in 6 minutes, with plenty of time to spare for me to install it on my iPhone 4 and play it on the plane.

iPhone4 FTW

Found this out just reading this thread at work: Safari finishes loading the page when I put the phone to sleep and also finishes loading the page when back on desktop.

Does it load when running another app?

I was not making fun of another member. I was just shocked that someone didn't know about this feature. It's something that has been around since the first iPhone. It was one of the things first demoed at the original iPhone launch. I guess I'm a little frustrated with all the newbies that joined the forums between June and August of 2010 asking silly questions and making silly statements.

Then why are you reading a thread that is asking people what random new things they found they weren't aware of? You do realize people new to the iphone (and even some old) are going to find stuff they weren't aware of that had been around a while. And they might "discover" things that you took for granted "everyone" knew.

Shoot, I've had a 3G since they came out and I dind't find out til I got the iphone 4 about voice activating features (pressing the home screen button down activated something that allowed you to speak commands). And learned afterwards that wasn't something new to iOS4 or iphone4.

I was reading the thread because as you said, even old iPhone users like to discover new things. And as far as voice command, that was not a feature on the 3G, it was introduced on the 3Gs. But alot of people don't know about it, actually, almost everyone I show had no idea their phone could do it.
