So I just sent my friend a text message.

A minute later, I received a text from some random number saying "who's this?"

After a few texts back and forth, I realized that my initial text went to some random person's number that isn't in my iPhone. Even in my SMS history, my first text shows up in the conversation between me and my friend, but obviously my iPhone actually sent the text to a random number as that person forwarded me my own message!

I'm on ATT and my iPhone is jailbroken...any ideas?

yeah, your phone is jailbroken.... can't really feel sorry for you if you hack your phone and it doesn't work right

I have had issues in canada with that type of issue. However it appears to be the network. I had that issue while using a Razr v3c.

Network routing problems. If it were an Push notification mis sent, there is an issue with that on jailbroken phones.

the same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago with phone calls. I would go into my contacts and try to call my friend, but some random person would answer, and my call would show up as a missed call for my friend. It did this for all my calls for about a week. it wasnt just the iPhone though, the same thing was happening to my roommate that also has AT&T, so it was a network problem.
