I'd love a larger phone, but not for the reason you would. People hear me fine, so I see no benefit in the sake of a larger phone just so your mouth can be directly over the mic. I would love a larger screen though...

Yea i'd love the iPhone screen to go to 4". But I don't get what OP is trying to get at. Having a larger phone isn't gonna help the other person hear you better.

Does it mean I'm old that I own the phone in that "Mr. Brunelle" pic? And I mean a real one from 1920 or whenever.

I agree. With current mic technology and thing's like noise isolation/cancellation you don't need to be close to it. The phone simply needs to be designed with that in mind, which they are.

I think the iPhone is the perfect size. Which is one of the reasons I came back to it as it's a good functional size, but doesn't feel too small/big. It's also one of the reasons I'm leary on larger screen designs as I feel it's a good size now, and I don't want it to be uncomfortable.

Anyone ever noticed when you put the iPhone to your ear, the microphone is nowhere near where your mouth is?

The iPhone doesn't even reach half distance of my cheek.

Your head must be a record-holding noggin. I've never met someone whose iPhone doesn't even reach half the distance. It's not that tiny of a phone.

Audio quality is fine. A bigger screen sure but keep the current form factor. It's got to fit in my pocket thats why I want it to stay reasonable.
