Convienence tax for people who upgrade every year and don't want to deal with a private sale, unfortunately. Apple knows this is a profit centre for them. Older models are huge sellers as refurbs or in other countries.

I traded in my 14PM 128GB for $615 on Sunday.

It's now going for $500 (and really $495 if not trading in on same transaction as new iPhone).

the 15PM now goes for $650 (and $645..) yikes! That's like the same price as my previous gen max phone two days ago.
