Likely this. The screen protector being squared off is not proof positive Apple isn’t going to use rounded corners on the hinge side of the outer display. Accessories makers are likely not going to have any of that information right now, especially if Apple creates the rounded corners in software similar to how it does the dynamic island on the phone.Probably more like this, the corners are rounded but it will be squared off hinge side to cover all the glass.

This is how iPhone Ultra 3 will have a “larger” screen by making the radius squarish. You can already see signs of squarish right radius in macOS 27.Does this mean the front outside cover display will have those corners in left side and rounded on right? That would be fugly.
That’s what some say until the official reveal and then it’s why it’s the delivery wait time is months away 😝I've never been less interested in a new Apple product than this.
It’s much more likely to be an extension of the bezel. See for example the iPad’s substantial bezel. Both on iPad and iPhone, you can see the border between display and black bezel even when the screen is off. Apple likely would want for the rounded corner to be visible that way even when the display is off. And there’s little benefit in not cutting off the corner of the display that way. This is just a guess but they might use software to imitate a rounded corner on display (hinge side) to match the outside corner.
I think you have your spacial imagination confused. The outer screen is opposite the left side of the inner screen. So the inner camera cutout can be on the top right just like on the outer screen. And the camera plateau is what gives more inner space in the actual body; the front camera could still fit there. However, I could see them placing the inner camera closer to the middle, similar to the landscape camera on the iPad.So this one has me confused. The privacy version shows a cutout in the top right corner. So let’s speculate that this is true, it would mean the front face camera would be in that position.
If you would open the foldable, the internal camera could not be in the same location as there is no room internally to stack 2 cameras. So it would not be in the top left corner of the inside screen. It could also not be in the top right corner of the internal screen as there would be the camera plateau on the back.
If you were less interested you'd just ignore the story and not take time to comment. You're very welcome to comment, of course, I'm just pointing out that if you just ignored the stories you would be even less interested in the product.I've never been less interested in a new Apple product than this.
I am not confused about that part 😂 I described 2 options and both don't seem possible. The original rumours had the internal screen front facing camera in the top left corner, that is not possible if the outer screen has a camera on the top right, because that would be in the exact same place and the phone is too thin to house both on top of each other.I think you have your spacial imagination confused. The outer screen is opposite the left side of the inner screen. So the inner camera cutout can be on the top right just like on the outer screen. And the camera plateau is what gives more inner space in the actual body; the front camera could still fit there. Imagine Apple going the Apple way: putting the camera in the middle on the right side of the screen 😀So this one has me confused. The privacy version shows a cutout in the top right corner. So let’s speculate that this is true, it would mean the front face camera would be in that position.

I really hope Apple is not going for the Samsung solution with putting the camera at 25% of the internal screen as that looks terrible and interferes with the UI in different orientations. I’d rather have it even in the bottom left or right hand corner, although I don’t see that happen.
It’s funny that with all the leaks it is still not clear where the 2 front facing cameras will be. In my opinion the best solution would be: outside screen - middle, internal screen - top left.
iPhone looks like a toy (Fisher Price “my first foldable”) compared to the Samsung. Those rounded corners are a joke. The iPhone “Ultra” looks hideous in comparison to the new Galaxy Z Fold 8. The asymmetry of the “Ultra” is off putting. I’m curious what the actual screen real estate of the “Ultra’s” interior screen will be. Those black bars when watching videos probably will be THICK.
If they would market it as a portrait device when opened..... Most iPads also have the camera in the middle of the short side 😊Imagine Apple going the Apple way: putting the camera in the middle on the right side of the screen 😀
I won’t be waiting for it. I won’t buy it. Sticking with my 15PM for a few more yearsThat’s what some say until the official reveal and then it’s why it’s the delivery wait time is months away 😝
Good good free-will vice peer-pressure 👍😎I won’t be waiting for it. I won’t buy it. Sticking with my 15PM for a few more years
Wouldn't liquid metal be hard->soft to deform->hard again? In T2, it wasn't anything like that.People sound disappointed that the reality of Liquid Metal is not what it was in Terminator 2: Judgement Day
