Does a screen protector on folding screen not kill the experience? wont you always feel a ridge down the middle?

Samsung foldables have a factory-installed screen protector so I'm curious about Apple's implementation here.

If you saw the latest Pixel Fold, which was just introduced, they have the same visual effect as the one you’re posting. The left corner closed is squared off while the right corner is rounded, just like Apple is doing. Open it up and it’s a rectangle with all sides rounded. When the phone is open it is completely symmetrical, but not so when it’s closed. Apple and Google designed their phones to be used open more than closed, though Apple’s will have the iPad’s aspect ratio of 4:3 while the Pixel is more candy bar on the outside and squarish on the inside.

If you plan to use the outside a lot, buy the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra for a completely symmetrical rectangle on the corners but a tall and thinner aspect ratio on the outer screen. If you plan to use the inside screen most, get the iPhone Ultra with the perfect iPad aspect ratio inside and a passport on the outside. People who have OCD about things not being perfectly symmetrical will hate the iPhone Ultra and the latest Pixel Fold.

I specifically referenced the original Pixel Fold because it was a Passport-style format and resembles the upcoming foldable iPhone more.
