Well, if you’re going to use it for photography, there aren’t any professional cameras on the iPhone ultra. Just probably the same cameras found on the iPhone 17 or maybe the iPhone 16. only a wide ultra wide 48 megapixel. I’m not even sure if ProRes video will be available either. but I could be wrong, none of us know yet.
I want the extra storage to store my Digital Comic Collection and Games I purchased through the App Store. If they match the Pro, the ProRes thing wouldn't matter as you'll be able to record video directly to an external drive. Granted the Fold is only set to have 2 Cameras so who knows if it would be possible.

Ah ok. That should work well for you then. Every time I get an iPhone, I usually get the 1 TB model. I’m not sure if I’m going upgrade this time around, especially if they haven’t fixed the internal lens reflection issue in the camera optics (floaters) when shooting video & taking photos. Of course I said that about the 17 Pro Max and I got it anyway, but it still has the internal reflection in the optics and I still do not have full control over my camera like I do with my Samsung S26 ultra. So, I’m hoping for major improvements in the camera & software.

I went out and checked out the Samsung Fold XYZ, the one that’s the same aspect as Apple is rumoured to have chosen, and it had reinforced my opinion. Folding phones aren’t for me. This aspect ratio is much better than the other folding phones, but I don’t like the feel of the inner screens. They feel too soft and plasticky. I don’t think Apple will be able to escape this particular piece of physics either, so crease or no crease folds are a hard no for me.

The outer screen is a nice size though. An iPhone Air mini with just the outer screen would be quite a nice phone. (Make it thicker than just that half of the fold though, get a slightly larger battery in it)

This would be a perfect successor to the 12 & 13 mini with updated Axx Pro processor and 12GB RAM, 120 hz promotion display panel with razor thin bezels, improved silicone carbon battery, 48 megapixel camera setup, small dynamic island, same facetime cameras as the pro series and USB-C 3.0 port. I would take this over the Ultra in a heartbeat.
