Haha! I want to so bad, especially since I just renewed my developer account in December.

I'm on 7.0.4 for now and might not update to 7.1 (GM) until I'm at the Apple Store. I'm so worried of going through all of that again 🙁

Still, the itch is there.

Thinking of disabling 'Find My iPhone' first and then trying to update. Maybe the new 'Activation Lock' is the culprit for my faulty unlocked iPhones?

So I thought of you the second I saw that 7.1 was out, I took the bullet and upgraded works fine 🙂

Right on! I think I narrowed the issue down to the betas. When I try to 'option+update' it'll brick my phone and gimme the 'SIM not valid', but regular updates (at least in iTunes anyways) will work. Had my 4th iPhone updated at the Apple Store after they replaced my 3rd.

I'm on my 5th iPhone 5s now and it shipped with 7.0.4. I updated to 7.0.6 via iTunes on Saturday and it worked great. I'm still nervous to install 7.1 😱 lol

I think you'll be ok, I was nervous as well and half though about driving a few miles to the closest store but its documented now so I said what the hell 🙂 works great!

Good news, I was able to install 7.1! I've narrowed the issues I've been having to betas. I'm done with them completely after going through 5 phones 😎
