I wanted to sell this off and then opt for a new other one .
I understand, I am just saying for $585 someone could buy a brand new 32GB iPhone 6s directly from Apple with full warranty and twice the storage of your device. Given that, your used 16GB device is going to sell for quite a bit less than $585.

Yeah... That is the reason why I dont want this to be happen. Can you guide me to upgrade by returning this to Apple and buy a new one from him?

No I guess
If it is not financed through Apple's iPhone Upgrade Program, Apple would not take it back. They would give someone an Apple gift card for it as a trade in, but it would be for less money than it could be sold for.

It looks like a SIM free 16GB iPhone 6s would get a $225 gift card. That gift card could then be used to put towards an iPhone 7.

OP - Your best bet is too sell it in India as it's not locked and buy a new phone from an Indian dealer. This whole buying it from another country business is too much of hassle when you don't know what you're doing. 6S is still a solid device anyway. Why do you want to sell it?! Plus, you can't "upgrade" if you're not on a plan to begin with.
