IUPs automatically get AppleCare. The only other choice is AC. + Theft. You won't get the AppleCare email until you pick up, or take delivery.

Is anybody else's coverage still not showing up? I got the email but the phone still says it isn't covered.

Yep, in same boat as you. Thanks for sharing too, glad I'm not the only one. Now I actually reached out to Apple Support yesterday and they gave me that same “Wait 72 hours” explanation, so let’s touch base again in a few days. It’s probably been 48 hours since I got the email, so fingers crossed that it updates tomorrow.

It's a 72 hour delay. I got my phone last Friday, I didn't get the AppleCare+ email nor did it show in the General setting till Monday morning.

The weird thing in my case is that I also got the phone on Friday, but whereas you received both email and the general setting update on Monday, I only got the email (general about page still not updated). So technically it is already past that 72 hour window for me, I’ve been counting an additional 72 hour window since the email (in total will be 144 hours since the phone activation).

Ultimately I’m not too concerned about the general about page though since the website status checker now correctly indicates my coverage. And that should be all that matters if I ever need to service the device.

I'm in the same boat as you, the website shows the AppleCare status correctly, but the phone (as of this morning) still does not. I guess I'm going to flag the AppleCare email in my inbox just to have as a quick reference if needed.

Okay a positive update for me: Just a minute ago I checked it again. It started out as the same, but literally before my eyes it updated. All good now!
