Just because you haven't heard it doesn't mean it's not valid.

Yes I miss MMS. Yes I miss sending a quick picture to my friends without trying to remember if they'll be able to access them immediately. Dont talk to me about sending to the e-mail address of their phone, because I don't tend to keep track of their carriers (who does that?). And trying to retrieve MMS is a joke, especially without--wait for it--copy and paste.

All that being said, I love my iPhone. I'd just love it more with some of the features I've taken for granted on a Palm Treo for years.

I agree; I usually don't use MMS, but the few times I've snapped pics with my iPhone that I've wanted to shoot to my friends have been annoying at best.

Here's an idea, add their email address to your contacts, that would be a good use for that contact app that they have, which to some is useless too.

isnt there an option for email address in the contacts? im sure most phone have it these days

EDIT:
lol i just read the post before mine...

I admit once or twice when I went to use my friend's Motorolla Q, I touched the screen by habit thinking it would work...

Weirdest thing!

I DO know my friends carriers so I can easily MMS them pictures, but no video. I'm fine with that, but I WOULD appreciate copy and paste. Also, for the record, the email client remembers any address you use, so you REALLY only need to type it in once and than just start their number and you can select it. Not hard really.

I would like an easier way to view incoming MMS though.

Is MagicPad Cut n' Paste app out yet?

Also, I use the facebook app for sending pics. Just take a pic and it uploads in one go...

The amount of people who truly despise the iPhone yet spend their time lurking in iPhone forums just waiting to jump at the chance to come out and say something along the lines of lack of MMS or copy/paste is really quite funny. Says something about those people who dislike a product yet will waste time hanging around a community of other people who actually DO like the product and make the same stupid comments over and over again

For the few things the iPhone lacks, it makes up for 10x in other areas...so, enjoy your MMS, i'll enjoy making beats on BeatMaker and when i am done, perhaps create a couple animations or two on Flipbook then maybe afterwards play a game of Trism while listening to the iPod on my phone...maybe by that time your MMS, which costs money compared to just sending out an email, would have finally reached its destination

OK, my favorite thing about this endless MMS bickering that people go on and on and on and on and on about...

It's the people who say "OMG the iPhone doesn't have MMS...it's such a basic feature...and don't tell me that email is an alternative because most of my friends don't have email on their phones."

BWAHAHA. So MMS is such a basic feature, but email is not? OK, That's all, I've just never understood that.

Oh and as for the guy who said "who wants all that spam on their phone?"... get a better email provider. Use gmail...I've had fewer than 10 spams reach my inbox in the past year.

I have had an iPhone since it first launched last year and now I have the 3G and I have to admit, iPhone users are spoiled. I had a couple week without my iPhone and I don't know how I did it with a reg phone. So many people complain about the iPhone/3G, about the service, Internet speed, etc. But this phone is truly amazing and we can't appreciate it because we are spoiled by it's abilities. It saved my ass last week in NYC and I am glad to have this phone. So basically, I hope everyone can learn to appreciate their phone & those who don't have one need to stop criticizing the iPhone cuz they don't know the true ability of this phone.

i don't know what happening to buy iphone. I can't take and email 5 photos on it. what a shame for what they call desktop-class email..

sorry for the delay, I didn't get a chance to respond. But I was in nyc, and I am not familiar with the city, and I had no idea where I was going. I had to get to a NYU office and I had no idea where I was going. Google maps along with hopstop was able to guide me. Idk how I wouldve done it without my phone. I probally would've been walking in circles, and then would've missed an important appointment. I wouldn't say it technically saved my life, but it did make the travel so much easier with less anxiety.
