I've been alternating between Mountain Lion wallpapers and having the same wallpaper on Mac, iPhone and iPad.

At the moment I'm using the new Earth wallpaper. :)

It's really nice to have the same wallpaper on all of my devices. I kinda wish Apple introduced a Wallpaper Sync feature which would allow you to sync your wallpapers via iCloud if they met minimum resolution requirements.

I've always used black since I've been using a dumb phone with a small screen. My 4S is my first iPhone.

OK, I've had the phone a while but never played much with backgrounds, so I ask (with some embarrassment) how does one obtain a jet black background?

I too have my wallpaper just straight black and I agree, it looks the best! Icons and colors pop, especially with a good winterboard theme. Supposedly black backgrounds save some battery as well...who knows if that's true..

For those wondering how to get a black background? I simply go to google images, search black wallpaper, save the image, and set as wallpaper. I get all my wallpapers from google images.

I feel like the all black background is kinda dull. I don't like to have a picture behind my apps, but I have a modification of the iOS4 rain drops and I love it. I think the grey looks more natural than the black.

I prefer black backgrounds on both my iPhone and iPad as it makes it easier on the eyes for me at least.

how about my iPhone 3G without the ability to set background wallpapers? just sayin'

I always like plain wallpapers. They always look the best.
