What's going to happen when a slightly faster phone is necessary?

Specifically, how would you know what's unnecessary with a Phones processing power? You're just projecting something without understanding something you wouldn't know yourself.

When the entire front is a screen and nothing new to add?

How is this relevant? Why does the display as a whole have to add anything "New"? Does it not come down to the iOS experience? Gesture controls, eliminating the home button, incorporation of a Face ID, ect. What were you expecting to be "New."? Does the consumer really care about that?

Absolutely loving my X. Been a while since I felt this smoothness.

I hop back to my folks 6s from time to time, and it’s always a shock to see how used to the iPhone X I’ve become. Pressing the home button seems like a distant memory.

Hope Apple keeps this up. It’s a solid product.
I like my X a lot. I still have my 6s and find myself wanting to close apps like I do with my X wondering for a second why it doesn’t work on my 6s. My 6s still performs pretty well and I decided to keep it as a backup phone. I may even replace the battery later this year to extend the device’s life.
