Take a look at the latest Consumer Reports, AT&T score the absolute lowest in every single category. It's hilarious to me the number of AT&T votes here. They are all the people that take the fact that the iPhone is moving to Verizon personally. It's absolutely just plain weird how offended many AT&T iPhone customers get when speaking about a Verizon iPhone.

Didn't AT&T score the highest in speed?

In all fairness, not all of them are. I'm sure a lot of them have had perfectly acceptable experiences with AT&T. It's not like they suck everywhere all the time. I aknowledge that it's been worse for some of us in certain areas than it has for others.

I'm guessing most of them carried 2G phones for a long period and didn't upgrade until a lot of the 3G issues were resolved.

Agreed. Makes no sense at all.

True, they should be happy that the iPhone is available for more carriers.

I'm sure Verizon and others have their bad spots.

I am/will stay with AT&T. I have been with them for 8 years, no problems, no excessive dropped calls (living in Houston, bad enough). When my mother passed away this summer, I called to get information about what AT&T needed for them to cancel my moms family plan line without being charged for breach of contract and AT&T explained what was needed and credited my account 80 bucks so I could focus on everything else and not worry about paying for her line.

If the iPhone was available unlocked for any carrier which would you choose, why?

I have an AT&T tower about 1 mile from my home so I always have full strength, the data network here is fast and I never have any dropped calls.

AT&T, had them all and they all sucked compared to AT&T, and I was tired of being treated poorly by VZ and there lack of phone choices and issues with Billing and Customer Service even though I was paying for inusrance.

I will never leave AT&T and I will continue to own and iPhone...

Personally I think the negativity surrounding AT&T is inflated due to the bad press their network gets. In LA I've found Verizon and AT&T to be about equal in terms of service. Some places Verizon outshines AT&T, and vice versa in others.

Personally, I prefer dealing with AT&T people both over the phone and in person. I also feel that Verizon tends to nickel and dime and little harder than AT&T does. I'm also looking forward to a slight relief from network stress equalizing.

This is exactly my overall experience over a long period of time. Some places you get a better AT&T signal. Some places, you get a better Verizon signal. And my experience with AT&T customer service people has been a lot better than my experiences with their Verizon counterparts.

*sigh* You asked why people are so hostile to Verizon in another thread? Check your attitude right there. There's your reason why.

Because I'm sick of people who like Verizon trying to tell me that just cause they have had bad experiences with AT&T, I must have bad experiences too and I'm too stupid to know it. Or that I must be lumped in with every other AT&T person that I have the exact same attitude as some you met. Should I assume the same of every person on Verizon, that they're all like you?

I don't take the move to Verizon personally. I've said plenty of times on this forum that it's good for AT&T customers as well cause it will force AT&T to be competitive (for example maybe they'll get more reasonable about their tethering offer which is really ridiculous).

And, well, sorry, I have had no issues with AT&T. Verizon is going to have to offer be a better plan than AT&T to get me to switch, or have something happen that changes my mind about AT&T (I've been with them/Cingular for 8 years though and the only time I felt like switching was the first year where they had a horrid website. And yes, I was thinking of switching cause I was sick of having to use IE on Windows to pay my bill cause their website didn't work on anything else (good thing I had a windows machine). It was really piss poor web editing that didn't bother checking to see if the website was compatible on more than one browser. So it's not like it always takes much to get me to change. But you have to be doing something to annoy me first to get me to change. Or the other person have a better deal).

I don't know if it was because I was managing a business account, but my experience was the opposite. Verizon kissed my butt while AT&T has been hit and miss (sometimes great, sometimes I wanna punch them :D)

I also have had some problems with AT&T customer service but I have never been with anyone else so I can't compare. For the most part I have been treated great but I can remember one time where they just wouldn't answer my question and just keep saying the same thing.

Anyone waiting in line for the Verizon iPhone yet? I saw one picture but that's all.

AT&T. CDMA is not an option for me, so the choice is either T-Mobile or AT&T. T-Mobile's coverage is actually pretty bad in my area, so like it or not, my pick is AT&T.

Verizon because of coverage and all my friends/family are on verizon

I do sometimes wish I could use my phone in Europe

AT&T or T-Mobile...

Hmm.... That's a hard one. The reason I don't want the BIG RED <- Verizon, is simply because they have cheaper plans, with Verizon they only have the $30 option, and has been proven slower on INTERNET... on the other hand, the calling is better on Verizon.. But who does that in this time? Lol

T-mobile would also be my choice because they have the BEST prices, they need more people, and they have 4G, which neither of the other companies besides Sprint has right now.

I just don't want Sprint or Verizon because they don't use SIM cards, which means you can't just slip your SIM in someone elses phone, and then go, if you wanted to Trade. Lol, And also, Verizon phones don't work in most countries

So can you hear me now? "NO, IM OUTSIDE OF THE COUNTRY"

I'll agree that there are many, but to say all AT&T users feel like that is just plain ignorant...
