iPhone won't send iMessages on wifi

There might be some issue with the way that you have your iMessage setup I would check those settings as well and make sure that you do not have anything out of the ordinary!
 
I don't see why my ports would be blocked if iMessages send fine on my iPhone 4 which doesn't have a sin it's just on my wifi. I already restored as new iphone twice could it be my iPhone
 
Last resort is to bring it to the apple store and try to connect to their wifi and replicate the problem there, if they can't fix it they will give you a new one, if you still under warranty!

Warranty is until April so I'll try but I hope when I go in it starts to work lol
 
Just called apple and told them. they said to just restore again but that doesn't do anything
 
Just make a genius bar appointment, then go there and explain the situation, forget doing it by phone just go there.

I found our something. If I go into airplane mode and enable wifi it sends a message right away. Could it be that there's serving wrong with my SIM card? Because I noticed there's a huge scratch on the back of it
 
It could be that too... So you are saying when you enable airplane mode then turn on wifi the msg gets sent right away?
Change your sim and see if it fixes your problem.

Ya exactly what u said I'm going in now to change the sim
 
My wife's cousin, she just switched from a blackberry to an iPhone 4S and she didn't know what iMessage was!

Since I hadn't text her since getting the iphone my messages to her were green when they should have been blue... I disabled iMessage and then she did the same. When we text each other again they appeared blue. It took that to get it to register her number to me as a fellow iphone. Now she loves it even more!!

I get the following message when I try to send

"this person cannot be reached by imessage at this time"

I've been in touch with apple support, they couldn't fix it, if i use iPad iMessage with Apple ID works fine.

My problem started back in December when using myname@me.com Apple ID for iMessage suddenly this account stopped working. I created a new Apple ID then only ipad would work for iMessage.

I've tried different sim, complete phone reset etc etc Apple Support have spent hours trying to sort thus out and now seemed to have given up on trying to fix problem.

This is a right pain because people keep sending me iMessages but I only get them on the iPad which I don't have with me all the time.

Ya I turned off cellular data and they send everytime
 
IPhone 4 & Verizon Messages App

Hi...I have a problem that even Apple cant fix. I downloaded Verizon Messages on my I phone 4. When I go on my computer to get/send messages, only a very few messages show up on computer. These are messages from non-I phone contacts too.....anyone know of a fix for this?? Help!
