Solution, please??

Hi,

I'm having the same problem with my Iphone 3G. I changed the battery a couple of weeks ago and the phone worked perfectly well for five or six days. Then, all of a sudden, I couldn't turn it on anymore. If plugged to ac the apple logo appears for 4-5 seconds then the screen goes black. When connected to computer, it doesn't even turn on and Itunes doesn't seem to notice that it's connected.

I have read the previous answers and have tried different ways to solve the problem:

- Irecovery: no effect
- restore in DFU mode: itunes recognizes the phone and starts to prepare it for restoring, but then it stops giving an error 1601. I have checked troubleshooting from the apple support page and followed all the instructions there (update, restart, unplug usb, etc.) but the problem persists.
- I have reopened the iphone and checked the battery and all the connections and screws: as far as I can tell everything is well connected inside (although connector #3 has given me so much trouble every time that I wouldn't be able to tell if I have done a good enough job), but the DFU continues to abort during the preparation and gives the error 1601.

I don't know what else to do. Can somebody please help me??? I don't mind losing what's in the phone, I just want to recover it.

Thanks a lot for your answers!

help apple logo flashing

Hi my 3gs has only apple logo flashing on and off only when plugged into computer like its trying to boot up but cant, but when i unplug it wont even flash for me, havent loaded anything onto it only done an upgrade to ios 5 as it was working before that and after updating it has asked for original sim card to be inserted as i dont have it i turned the phone off . Can anyone help with suggestions i have tried holding down the home button and start button to no avail both plugged and unplugged.

it turns out be quite simple

i have recently suffered this problem of the iphone 3gsturning on when connected to the socket.but it would only go to the apple logo when unplugged and back to the blank screen
after much frustration

i simply plugged the phone into the socket charger, waited for it to load and then turned it off and on.
then i unplugged...

and...

BINGO!!!!

sad to say

sad to say although my first quote worked,
it would only last a week or so until this step must be repeated.
However, I found a tiny screwdiver that fits the small screws positioned at the bottom of the iphone.(the ones beside the charging slot).
and started fidling around with them, finaly i took them all the way out and then back in.
since then (about 3 1/2 weeks) it has been working in full working order.
I never had to remove the back cover.JUST THE SCREWS:)

I very much hope this works for you:D
ps:DON'T FORGET TO PUT THE SCREWS BACK IN!!!!!!!
