I think exalted719 is right. The battery drain is much faster than before after tinkering with iPhone's power management folder...
Do you guys also have the camera crashing problem? everytime I click the camera icon it starts the camera then it blinks and reboots the iPhone.
My 16GB 2G iPhone worked perfectly for two days then had the waking problem and the camera crashing problem ever since. The firmware upgrades didn't help as my iPhone worked briefly (I was able to take few photos and no waking problem) then all the problems came back after rebooting.
I don't have the battery draining problem after applying the temporary fix.
annnnnddd.... i think i have a fix!
i'll wait a lil longer to see if the problem persists.
currently i have no issues waking, and no significant battery loss.
I'll post here again once I make sure its working like it should.
Oh noes! nanoflux is right. Just now my iPhone got stuck again. The problem is back... so I'm back to square one.
Hey exalted719, you sure you haven't had the problem since? Could it be that you were "lucky" the whole time (which I seriously doubt though)...
Hi exalted719,
Thanks for getting back to us (even though you no longer have this problem). I did reboot my iPhone after the replacement. It has failed only twice over the last 3 days, but it's still a problem.
What do you mean by "permissions match the original file just in case."? Can you tell us how to check/do this step by step?
Thanks a lot!
When you put the file on to your iPhone, right click it after and go to "Properties". There should be a section in there that mentions "Permissions". Make sure it is set to 644.
Also, make sure that the file is placed in the correct directory and that you have not modified the name of the file. Make sure you rename your original to something else like adding .bak for backup purposes.
If you have any more trouble you can contact me through PM so i may help your through MSN or something.
Hey Exalted719 think you can help me?
I tried what you said the first time about changing the com.apple.SystemPowerProfileDefaults.plist file by adding a 2.
Significant Battery Loss
Than I added the plist file you uploaded, erasing the original, that worked for about a few hours than my phone got stuck again.
Any Suggestions??? I am currently google-ing it to see if I can find any other answers and haven't found any.
Plz Help!! Thanx
