I just tried the same as you and ran 5 consecutive Geekbench benchmarks and didn’t see the score drop.. Similar scores to you although single core is about 4100 not 4250 as per some other iPhone Xs. It seems it’s only if the GPU and CPU are maxed at the same time (as with GRID Autosport) then it will thermal throttle. It’s a bit of a bummer but I just don’t think apple will swap it over again over that

I am probably now looking for things but I swear this iPhone Xs camera blooms exposure a lot more

Hi. :) We've actually received a few reports from people with a GRID Autosport performance issue on the iPhone X, where the phone heats up and the framerate of the game is reduced. Today we released a patch that addresses this issue. I suggest updating your game to 1.2.1 and seeing how it goes.

I hope you enjoy the experience!

Bummer. I've only had 1 problem with an iPhone since 2007, some dust in the camera on my iPhone 4.

Mine was what I considered flawless except for a very faint pink edging around the display. I have that with my S8+, too, and Samsung had issued a software “fix” for it, which does work but necessitates me running the display permanently on the saturated Adaptive Mode instead of the more realistic preset modes. The pink edging on the curved display of the S8+ proved quite distracting and it seemed to be spreading so I’m glad I was able to apply some sort of fix to it, though the situation remains less than ideal.

Well the pink edging on the flat display of my iPhone X didn’t bother me. I don’t sit there staring at the edge of my display, and it was faint and thin, so I made mental note of it but considered it of no consequence. I have very little blue shift to speak of and had been very happy with the display quality. But as with the S8+, I think the pink stain must be growing a bit. It’s now intruding more into the part of the display that I do see as I’m reading and the display doesn’t look as crisp as it did initially. I don’t know what’s going on so I’m going to read up on the topic of displays that I had previously ignored since it didn’t apply to my device, or so I thought.

My husband’s display has blue shifting and isn’t quite as nice as mine but he can use True Tone and I can’t because True Tone on my device looks like my cat peed on the screen. Not that I cared. I just don’t use it. I’m not picky and I’m not looking for trouble. I was perfectly content until I noticed the pink growing enough to now be noticeable. This is a Samsung display issue. I don’t blame Apple or their calibration or anything like that. It’s something I saw plague early adoption of the S8 series and was widely reported on several months ago.

Given the dissatisfaction the pink staining caused me on my S8+, I’ll likely avail myself of the extended return period and take it back. My 7 Plus is in excellent working order, so I’ll do without an X for awhile, until supplies of the X are plentiful and I can play the QC lottery with less annoyance.

Everything else about my X has been a delight! I love the X!

Hi! Thanks for the response. I’ll give the update a try. Beyond this issue and overheating in direct sunlight this iPhone X has been problem free. Third time lucky hey! I don’t have any other game that causes throttling, but obviously some iPhone Xs can’t run the GPU and CPU at 100% without throttling

Hope new X 2018 units come free of issues. Now the demand its lower so they can produce phones slower without bugs.
    --- Post Merged, Jan 1, 2018 ---

I always wait 4-5 months until buy a new product, and see how works. Now i have an S8 buyed in november, and works perfectly. Now im waiting to buy an X 256GB silver in februrary or march probably. Maybe then have more luck and come without issues.

The problem is if you have an X with issue and Apple gives you a replacement, this replacement maybe will have the same issue, because probably was made at the same time of your unit. New units/replacement units are diferent things, so if you see any issue, recover your money and wait 1 or 2 months for the new stock.

iPhone X is in beta testing still. Mine works great so far, but even I know there’s room for improvements on this device. go looking for problems and n the iPhone X, it’ll be there. I don’t go looking for problems on my iPhone X, I just use and enjoy the device

That sucks, no issues with my Day 1 phone. I don't benchmark though because it doesn't really matter to me. Hope it works out for ya.

Some people really get the bad luck in the tech lottery, don’t they?
So far my X is going on three weeks solid.

My X has been flawless but then again I do not play games. I do my games on the 10.5 iPad Pro and it does well.

You’re just not living right. I’ve upgraded 70 or so people at work so far and zero have had an issue

So ... an employee is gonna complain about OLED panel not being best quality or build quality being off or some other issue? Haha

There is no such thing as any iPhone that would come free of issues or defects. When you mass produce a piece of tech that is sold in the millions, some will have issues of some sort.

How do we know the demand is lower? What you're referring to was based off a rumor for a future prediction, there was no validity behind that article. Phones will always have issues, its the nature of technology.

Im not talk about a rumor of a future prediction. All shops/operators/online sites have stock enough of iPhone X. Shipped in 24/48h. So... demand is lower, or you cant buy an X so fast like now... Without any wait.
    --- Post Merged, Jan 4, 2018 ---
Yes, if you made a piece for milion devices, lot of them, can have issues. But this speaker issue isnt a lillte issue. Lot of costumbers have this problem... Isnt a production issue, its a hardware design problem or a software problem.
We are not talking about a problem that can arise when you manufacture a phone on a large scale, but a problem of defective parts, a bad phone design, or some software.

Surely if it is a design or software issue then everyone has the issue. But considering not everyone has the issues listed I doubt that is the case.

My iPhone X is being replaced due to random blocking of numbers and contacts. My phone in a matter of weeks blocked more than 150 numbers, including half dozen contacts. Even restoring the phone didn't help the issue. Apple will be replacing my phone by next week.

And I’m sure they will come. My point was specifically to the issue you raised. If that is the case then how come I don’t have it?
